About this property

Log Cabin In the Woods

Very private cabin in the woods, Great for gatherings, corp meetings, reunions, small weddings, ski weekends, Golf weekends. Sorry we do not book graduation parties (There are restrictions on amount of guest allow in property).

Close to ski resorts, golf courses and snowmobile trails, 1/4 Mile off the road for privacy. Pond for fishing and swimming, stocked with large mouth bass. Property is vast with many walking trails.

This is a great get away for those who enjoy outdoor fun in the summer by the pond, swim up to the deck in the middle of it, lay out by the grass, take some sun or a winter get away for a nice warm and cozy evening watching the snowflakes fall.

This place was designed originally as a hunting cabin or just for a simple get away and disconnect from the world for a few days and enjoy nature, one thing this place does not have is WIFI, partially for the reason mention above.

A great place to gather small group of family or friends.

Get away weekend

I celebrated my 30th birthday with some friends! I wanted a cabin, secluded, and a hot tub and this place delivered that and so much more! Fire places, mood lighting, large rooms, beautiful Labrador theme with tons of taxidermy, huge tv, pool table, darts, dvd and vhs player, SHEEP AND CHICKEN!!!!

Perfect Cabin Weekend

Cannot say enough great things about Tom's property. The pictures do not do it justice. In addition to being a beautiful and secluded place, the cabin has everything you need if you forgot to bring something from home. Tom greeted us and later was quickly responsive when I had a couple questions. I highly recommend this listing and would love to stay again next year.

Yellow Lab visit to Labrador Lodge

The Labrador Lodge was an excellent place to vacation. Even though it rained every day washing out our ski trip, we still had an enjoyable time. We made good use of the hot tub (inside enclosed outer building), fireplaces, pool table and watched movies and did a couple puzzles. The lodge has amazing views and our daughter and yellow lab had a great time hiking around the property on the one day without rain. There are many things to do nearby and we stopped in Ellicottville for shopping and Buffalo for science museum and hockey game.

Amazing property and amenities!

We had a group of 11 friends stay at Tom’s property and we were all blown away. The location is amazing tons of land and trails to walk. The farm animals were an added bonus. Hot tub is awesome especially since it’s covered it rained a bit and we all could still enjoy the hot tub without getting soaked. Highly recommend this place great for a larger group. Tom was very responsive and even gave us fresh eggs for breakfast in the morning. Overall we had a great time and are already talking about staying again next year. Thank you !

Great Getaway

The pictures does not give an accurate discription of the property. It's more beautiful in person. Tom was excellent. He was accommodating with our arrival and check out times. His responses to my concerns and inquiries were prompt. We wished our stay could have been longer, would definitely visit again.

Hidden gem in the woods!

Wow! What an amazing place... I agree with other reviews that the pictures does not do justice! Cabin is very well maintained and the kitchen fully stocked. We really enjoyed the pond...kids had a great time swimming and fishing... Plenty of room for kids and fur babies to run around in the backyard. Loved the enclosed hot tub - a great way to relax while enjoying nature. Enjoyed the pool table and entertainment room downstairs.. plenty of room for 12 of us to sleep in.. we also went hiking, fishing at Java lake nearby and ordered food from John & Mary's 1 night.. (great food)... We had an amazing time.. miss the chickens and the sheeps.. they were so friendly.. just wish we could've stayed longer.. Tom was amazing.. responded promptly to all our questions.. amazing host! Totally recommend this place to anyone.. a true gem of a place..

Wonderful Weekend!!!

Our family had a wonderful long weekend at the cabin. We especially loved all the outdoor space. My 5 year old niece had the best time feeding the sheep everyday. We all enjoyed the pond! It was great to have it so close for swimming in the day and star gazing at night. The layout of the house was great with plenty of space for a big group. The young adults loved having their own space in the basement. One negative was the grill was in pretty bad shape. Luckily we brought grill mats. Also, there is only an air conditioner in the living room and the freezer did not work on the main floor but there were 2 freezers in the basement. Taking everything into account-we all had a fabulous time!

More than what we expected

The pictures do not do the property justice, this place is great! Tons of indoor and outdoor space, as well as enough sleeping room. Tom was always available and was great with communication. Perfect spot for a large group getaway, highly recommend for any season to stay here.

A cabin vacation get away

Overall we had a very nice family vacation weekend at the cabin in the woods. In this age of Covid, we wanted a vacation spot for family time where we would not have contact with other people. The cabin was a good choice as it was isolated but still conveniently located to town for grocery shopping. We spent the weekend playing games, cooking, using the fire pit, hot tub and private pond. The house had plenty of room and was well maintained with a game room, modern kitchen and two bathrooms. We could all be together but still have our private space. We did have two issues in that the oven was left dirty by the previous lodger and we felt some parts of the bathrooms were not thoroughly cleaned. The owner assured us that he would address these issues with his cleaning staff. The last issue was a small statue at the entrance of the cabin. When I expressed that my family was uncomfortable with the imagery, the owner did move it. It is my hope that he does not put it back. Overall, the cabin in the woods is a nice get away to reconnect with family and nature. I took special delight in looking out the kitchen window and watching hummingbirds at the bird feeder.

Great weekend in the woods!

We had a fantastic and relaxing weekend in the woods! Kids loved the pond for swimming. Adults loved reading on the deck. Hiking behind the property and in the State park nearby was a lot of fun. Enjoyed the hot tub which is in an enclosure with a lot of glass so it feels as if you are in the woods without the bugs. Family movie time in the entertainment room was super too! Host was very responsive to questions. Thanks Tom! We had a great weekend.

Great stay, well equipped home

We had a wonderful time at Tom's beautiful hunting lodge. Tom was a great host, showed us all the amenities, addressed any concerns we may have had. He was also just a text away if I had any questions. The property itself is huge with plenty of things to do IE Hike/swim/paddleboat/hot tub/bbq/star gaze/firepit/pool table/tv entertainment center. They even have a couple of goats and chicken next door that are super friendly, a very unique experience for us city slickers. Like a homemade petting zoo of a sort. Things that were lacking, no Wifi. Our carrier phone service was a bit spotty so bring pocket wifi if you have it. AC was adequate for the first couple of days but it got very hot on our last day, especially upstairs. BBQ grills were in pretty bad shape, grates all rusted. We tried to grease it up and scrub it with a grill brush to no avail. We ended up using a cast iron pan we purchased at Walmart. There were grill mats left there from a previous party that was pretty gross. Pool table light was not working as the fluorescent bulb was on its last legs so it was super dim, but the table itself was cool with the red felt. We especially enjoyed the kitchen as it was fully equipped, we were able to create some fantastic meals for our group. The highlight of our trip was gazing up at the stars, we took some chairs next to the pond and sat there looking up to the sky in pitch-black darkness; the stars we could see were amazing. I would highly recommend this rental property.

Labor Day Getaway

We loved loved loved everything about the whole place. The seclusion but close to everything, the pond, the paddle boat, the hot tub, and the home itself ..... I only wish we would have had more time!! The owners responded quickly to any questions we had and the home was spotless. Definitely needed more than a couple days to enjoy. Thank you!!!

Great Getaway!

This cabin was perfect for a girls getaway. The property is absolutely beautiful. The outdoor area (pond, huge deck etc) is perfect for relaxing during the day, and the house was plenty spacious for 14 women to hang out and catch up in the evening. I would love to come back with my kids, as they would love it as well. Tom was very helpful and responsive. A pleasure to work with.

Best stay ever

Until entering the house at around 9 pm, the route was spooky inside the woods. But once we got, we spent an hour touring the house. Wonderful home and all four families with 6 kids enjoyed the home, pond, boat, zakuzi and basketball hoop. Tom was such a nice person. He gave us extended checkout and we enjoyed the whole day before leaving at 4 pm after all photo shoots at the property. If I get a chance will stay again. Thanks Tom !!! Forgot to say there was no internet. Although it was little bit annoying with on and off cell service, it kept our kids away from LCDs. The price was not bad as it was memorial long weekend. House was clean, lots of blankets and bed. Kitchen was so good with many utensils. As Indians, Gas stove was a big plus for us. May be another washroom could have been better but was not a big concern. Tom, please document the speaker connections so that we can enjoy Bose music every where in Kitchen Dining Patio and Hall. Basement Big Tv was good. We watched Forest Gump with good sound system. Thanks again Tom. We miss you and the home.

Beautiful home and property

Stayed at the house with a group of 12 people. Pictures don't do it justice. Basement has a large tv, two fireplaces, and a pool table. Plenty of room for everyone to relax. Kitchen is large and updated. Few things we noticed - minimal lighting in the main living space, hard to play games at night but we made it work. Also, I don't think the house had been used in some time so there were more cobwebs than we expected, but the house felt clean other than that. Owner was great to work with and accomodating. There are two sheep onsite that were a pleasent surprise. Overall, great experience and would definitely recommend/stay again!

Beautiful, Quiet, yet so much to do

I booked this cabin with a bunch of friends for the weekend and we were pleasantly surprised. The pictures do not do this place justice. Whole house audio system, hot tub, pond that we all swam in with a dock, outdoor games for the group. The inside of the cabin was amazing, with high end appliances in the kitchen. I met both Tom and Alec and they were so accommodating for us and our needs. They are very laid back and were available for anything we needed. I would highly recommend for anyone looking to get away from it all. I was very happy and so was my group. I would definitely visit again if I find myself in the area again! Thanks guys!
