The owner, Eric, thoughtfully sent us a detailed list of local attractions, restaurant recommendations, and information about the Belmont General Store next door. It was fantastic—full of local cheeses, breads, and wines. We’re also now officially obsessed with the Mount Holly Brewery. The house was cozy and comfortable for our group, with a newly renovated kitchen and bathrooms. The home was very well maintained—clean, tidy, and clearly cared for. The pool table was fun although the slightly small size of the room did make it more challenging. I had read a prior review mentioning an issue with the heat; however, that could not have been farther from our experience. The house was extremely warm throughout our stay. Eric has also put great thought into the décor, including a charming bear theme that adds to the authentic Vermont farmhouse feel. You can tell this is a well-loved property.Eric also followed up during our stay to make sure everything was going well. As a frequent VRBO renter, a real estate broker, and a property owner who also rents out my own home, I sincerely appreciated the attention. We are big skiers and have rented many homes in the area, and we found this location worked very well for getting to Okemo. The town itself was extremely charming. Our dog especially loved his walks around the neighborhood. We truly appreciated the opportunity to enjoy this home and would absolutely consider renting it again.

Eric,I will try to be patient but I have to say our experience was disappointing. We arrived after the stipulated arrival time. We had invited my sister and her family to visit us for dinner. We found the property to be a construction site with ladders all over, and multiple people on the roof, and a construction van and debris around the house. So, we unloaded and parked on the back side of the library across the street. Upon arrival, we found the dishwasher full of dirty dishes and the refrigerator had someone else's food in it. My wife asked if were were at the right house. I went to bed that night in a sweater and socks because I thought I was getting sick. It wasn't until I woke at 5am Saturday that I realized the house was cold. I searched around the house until I found a thermostat and realized the heat was turned off. There were no instructions with the house as to where the thermostat was or how to program it but I managed to turn on the heat. I later reset the thermostat to 60 degrees when we left but I would encourage you to provide written instructions to future guests on how to operate the heating system. Also, regarding your comment about our being the test guests for the new bathroom.. Unfortunately, the toilet in the first floor bathroom doesn't work and didn't work from the time we arrived. We tried a plunger. I recommend you contact a plumber. Also, the first floor bedroom doesn't have curtains, and two of the bedrooms don't have dressers or stands
