About this property

Cozy 1-bedroom apartment in uptown Oakland, pet-friendly with off-street parking

Welcome to Pomegranate House! Built in 1895 and updated recently with modern appliances, the house is a gorgeous oasis in the middle of bustling Oakland. Despite being downtown, the street is quiet and safe - you are welcome to park in our gated driveway. We have everything you need to relax comfortably, and the charming Victorian characteristics give the apartment a unique flair - check out the sink in the bedroom, tall ceilings, and original stained glass windows.

Laundry is shared with the other unit (owner occupied) , conveniently right off the bedroom.

Accessibility:
There is one flight of steps up to the front door. There IS an elevator available, but there is still one step after the elevator to get into the house.

The entryway is shared between the two units; there is an air purifier always running in that space, as well as in the shared laundry room. Otherwise, the units do not share air - the HVAC is only used on the rental side. The rental unit has its own door with code you can set.

Please note that this house is FRAGRANCE FREE in all cleaning products. You are welcome to use your own personal care products, but please only use the provided dish and laundry products. No incense or smoking is allowed indoors. Furry friends and service animals are welcome!

Mari was very friendly and made our stay comfortable and easy. Quick walk to Bart station and many restaurants in downtown. I would recommend this place to anyone staying in Oakland.

It was great staying here! The apartment was just as listed, clean, bright, welcoming, and well-equipped. Was easy to check in and Mariyama was quick to respond to questions. It's a great location, walking distance to a ton of restaurants and easy access to freeways to get around the Bay Area. I look forward to staying here again next time I come to Oakland.

The apartment was clean and comfortable! The shower was wonderful, and though I didn’t use the kitchen it looked to be well appointed. The parking was available on her property, but getting in and out with the gate was a bit dodgy, though once in, it felt secure. I would stay at this location again.

This location was perfect for us during our stay. We were in the area to visit our son and his partner who live in Berkeley. The apartment was absolutely gorgeous and particularly appealing to my wife and I since we live in a Victorian home built about the same time as this one. It was particularly nice that we could park off street in the driveway. Parts of this neighborhood are a bit rough looking but we never felt the slightest bit unsafe. I was comfortable walking our dog each morning and we walked to dinner and for ice cream a couple of evenings. We had a wonderful stay!
