We found the house very clean, quiet, safe, and a great location to visit the area! It was perfect for our family, and Ian was extremely helpful for any questions we had. I would highly recommend staying at The Drift Inn.
The Drift Inn is in a quiet neighborhood and has convenient off street parking. The bathroom and laundry room were nice and updated. Access to the property was easy. Host is great in communicating. Living room was spacious and the kitchen was well appointed.
Place was great excellent and in a great location. The owner was very easy to communicate with and very helpful. The location is very convenient to the interstate and quite a few local bars nearby. No issues other than the yard looks like it could use some TLC. Would definitely look to stay again.

Thank you so much for your stay. We are happy you enjoyed your stay.
We were very disappointed with the condition of this property. Upon arrival, the first thing we noticed was that the living room windows were dirty, with visible dog marks or residue. We had to clean them ourselves. We then found dog hair in the bed sheets, which is unacceptable, and the coffee pot still had old coffee and grounds left in it from a previous guest. The backyard was in the worst condition. It was clearly neglected, with an old chicken coop that had not been cleaned in years, covered by a torn tarp. There were bags of dog waste left around, along with branches down and multiple brush piles, making the space unusable.Overall, the lack of cleanliness and basic upkeep was unacceptable. We will not be staying there again. Hopefully for the future guests it will be cleaned up.

Guests violated the house rules by showing up at the property with additional guests. Once confronted about additional guests the original guest who made the reservation would not address the issue of additional guests. There were no complaints during check-in but once guests were asked about the total guest count they started to make frivolous claims. There are no cleaning supplies for guests to clean themselves and this is a lie that the cleaner had not cleaned. After hours of negotiations and non-sense, the guest was checking-out the following day. These guests were very aggressive, destructive and had no intention to follow any reasonable house rules. These guests did their best to be vindictive by created frivolous damages before their check-out. It’s unfortunate but either they were drinking too much or were very unhinged to accept any responsibility.

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
I thought the home was adequate for a couple of days of overnight stays. Seems to be more of a place for college age people to stay. Furniture and window coverings are out of date. Cleanliness of rooms could be addressed further.

Sorry you were unhappy but you should have called us. We make a serious effort to give guests a great clean home. We don’t understand your negative comments when you made no communication while you were not happy.
The place was clean and cozy. The rooms are quite small, and there is only one small bathroom. There are two bedrooms upstairs and one downstairs. Perhaps a better sizing or repositioning of some furniture would help. The china hutch in the dining room is not necessary at all and would make that room more navigable. The outside could benefit from some trimming and weed control. Location is decent and provides quick access to I-90, and makes it easy to navigate LaCrosse. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
Overall, the stay was comfortable. The shower was big and roomy. The washer and dryer left A LOT to be desired. They are both really old and need to be replaced. The washer smells moldy and the dryer sounds like a rocket ship. There was even a note on the dryer saying how loud it was. I didn't get a picture of it.Other than that, it was a comfortable stay.
Great communication from host and place was exactly what we were looking for.

What makes this property unique
It’s a comfortable house taking you back in the 1930’s in La Crosse. It’s recently renovated and it preserves the classic look of the house. Having the yard and the kids swing and the jungle gym is a bonus for guests traveling with children.
