Meticulously clean and decorated. This home and surrounding property was an absolute gem. Great central location for visiting wineries, various hikes/scenic areas, and Winston/Salem. The owners were very nice. I would highly recommend staying here. One of the nicest short term rentals we ever stayed in and we've rented a bunch.

The house was beyond beautiful, it exceeded our expectations completely. It had everything we needed, and more! Lisa and Gary made the experience even more sweet by being so helpful in finding family friendly things to do and even giving our son some toys they had to play with, he loved it all so much. They went above and beyond, and it truly made our stay so much sweeter. We will definitely be staying here every time we come to town. Fully recommend, couldn’t ask for a better place!

From start to finish the whole stay was spectacular. Exactly like the photos. Even better in person. Totally love. The hosts are amazing and extremely accommodating. Lisa and her husband went above and beyond to help us navigate all the best places to eat and explore. Going back next month!

The hosts were extremely helpful in providing recommendations when our original plans changed on the way there. From the moment we pulled in, we felt at ease and like we could relax! The grounds are beautiful, the cottage is adorable and has everything you need! One of us likes to sleep in and one likes to get up and have a quiet morning and guess what? The space was perfect for both of us!! Lots to see and do around the area-we can’t wait to go back!

Gary and I are hosts from Vermont and the Carolinas. We enjoy travel through VRBO and so decided to share this home on VRBO. We enjoy outdoor gardening as you will notice throughout the property. Also we love Sunrises and Sunsets which we have some here that are spectacular!

Why they chose this property

We enjoy living in the feel of country farm life yet being within 15 minutes of the Winston Salem City limits. We love the area for it’s beautiful wineries, rivers and parks as well.

What makes this property unique

Here at Southern Oaks you get to enjoy your own piece of paradise. Beautiful fields with deer and other wildlife, so many varieties of colorful song birds, spectacular sunrises and sunsets and outdoor living at its best.
