Our main home is in Orange County, California, but we’ve spent every summer in the Upper Peninsula. Our children grew up making memories here, and the U.P. has become a meaningful part of our family’s story. We choose to host guests in our Gladstone VRBO because we enjoy sharing this special place with other families. It’s a chance for them to experience the same simple, memorable summers in this welcoming little beach town that we’ve cherished for years.
Why they chose this property
We chose this neighborhood because it’s home in every sense of the word. Dawn grew up in Gladstone and even served as a Gladstone lifeguard, so the community has long been part of our family’s roots. Over the years, we’ve continued to vacation here and spend our summers in this town with our children. It’s hard to find a small beach community as accessible, welcoming, and genuinely friendly as Gladstone, which is exactly why we chose it.

This fully remodeled 1920s home sits in the heart of Gladstone’s beach community, just two blocks from the shoreline, parks, and harbor—and a short walk to Main Street. With a fenced yard, pet-friendly space, games, beach cruisers, and a BBQ, it offers an ideal blend of comfort, convenience, and classic U.P. charm.
