Cleaning Fee
Our cleaning fee helps cover the cost of hiring a professional cleaner to prepare the cabin between guest stays, ensuring it’s sparkling and ready for your arrival. We kindly ask that guests treat the space with the same care and respect they would their own home.
Pet-Friendly (Additional $40 Fee)
We welcome dogs for a small additional fee and want every guest — two- or four-legged — to have a safe, enjoyable stay. To help keep the cabin and grounds comfortable for everyone, we ask that dogs: • Stay on-leash when outside the immediate cabin area, unless otherwise supervised • Use the provided towels for muddy paws • Be cleaned up after
This policy helps ensure the safety and comfort of all guests and pets. Well-behaved, obedient dogs who come when called may have some supervised off-leash time, but please remember there may be other dogs or guests on the property who prefer a bit of distance. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in making the farm enjoyable for everyone.
Checkout Requirements
To help us prepare the cabin for the next guests, we kindly ask that you: • Dispose of garbage, recycling, and compost (see your arrival message for locations) • Gather all used towels into the laundry basket • Wash any used dishes
Smoking Policy – No Indoor Smoking
Smoking is allowed outdoors only. Please use the black container on the picnic table to dispose of cigarette butts, and do not leave them on the ground. We appreciate your help in keeping the cabin clean and enjoyable for all guests.
Bring Your Own Food & Ingredients
Our Country Cabin has a fully equipped kitchen, perfect for preparing everything from a hearty breakfast to a delicious dinner. Please note that we do not stock food items, so feel free to bring any ingredients you’d like to use. We do not provide prepared meals or breakfast services, but the kitchen has everything you need to cook your favourites. We provide teabags, coffee, sugar, salt and pepper.
Nature & Wildlife
Part of the charm of staying on a working farm is sharing space with nature! You may spot ladybugs, flies, or even the occasional mouse. While we do our best to keep critters out of the cabin, we ask guests to embrace the little touches of farm life during their stay.
Summer Reminder: Mosquitoes
During the warmer months, mosquitoes can be present, especially near the fire pit or while using the BBQ. We recommend bringing insect repellent and wearing protective clothing, particularly in the evenings, to make the most of your outdoor time comfortably.
Winter Comfort & Access
Warmth & Heated Floors Even though the cabin is heated, the main living and kitchen floors are not in-floor heated, so they may feel cold in winter. We recommend bringing thick socks or slippers to stay cozy. The bathroom floor is heated, providing warm comfort after a shower.
Plumbing & Water In very cold weather, plumbing — especially the kitchen sink — can occasionally freeze. We provide backup water if needed, and there will always be running water in the bathroom to ensure your stay remains comfortable.
Snow Access & Privacy We snowplow the laneway and parking area before your arrival, and we shovel a walkway to the front door. During your stay, for your privacy, a shovel is provided so you can clear snow near the entrance if needed — this keeps the walkway safe while allowing you to enjoy full privacy.
Eco-Friendly Stay
Our farm generates 60 kW of solar power and features reclaimed barn wood and sustainable building practices throughout. Enjoy a cozy, comfortable stay while knowing your visit supports eco-friendly living.
