Remote retreat: clean and cozy; tiny cabin perfect for a small group wanting some time away from the hustle and bustle of life. We had a great time relaxing, playing games and hanging out in the hottub. The dogs loved the woods for they don't get to see much of that at home. The location was good hiking and even going to the casino. Definitely recommend. I wish there had been a second bathroom though, and not having to go through a bedroom to get to the bathroom.

Tucked away in a peaceful setting, the house strikes the perfect balance between comfort and modern convenience.The interior was clean, tastefully updated, and had everything we needed—from a fully equipped kitchen to comfortable beds and a relaxing living space. We especially appreciated the quiet, wooded surroundings and the sense of privacy, which made it easy to relax and recharge.Whether you’re in town for an event or just looking for a peaceful getaway, this place is a gem. We loved our stay at the Sweet Retreat. Everything we needed for our stay was available: pots, pans, spices, even the wood for the fire pit. The cabin includes a perfectly-sized dishwasher to help clean-up after eating a meal cooked on the gas grill located on the deck just outside the back door. We particularly liked the electric fireplace, which I used in the morning to warm up the cabin while my wife slept late, and the hot tub, also located right outside the back door on the deck.While remote enough for complete R&R, the Retreat was near enough to groceries, nail salon, and restaurant. We were especially impressed with Cotton's BBQ. It was by far the best we've ever had.All in all, the Retreat was worth the expense, and we wouldn't hesitate to visit again in the future.

Peace and Quiet

We stayed at the cabin this past weekend for a few nights and had a great time. The cabin was well organized and very clean when we arrived. The cabin’s setting in the woods was very quiet and offered great views of the surrounding forest. Its proximity to Lake Martin is really nice. You get your privacy at the cabin with Lake Martin just down the road. We did run into a few minor issues with the cabin, and the owners were amazing with their promptness in rectifying things. We were kept in the loop constantly throughout, and we were really impressed with the owners timeliness in ensuring a great stay. Will definitely be back in the area again, and will be rebooking the cabin once again as well.
