Hunter’s Hideout – A Father‑and‑Daughter Inspired Outdoorsy Retreat

Since 2022, we’ve been welcoming guests, and now we’re thrilled to share our story with even more travelers. Each of our cottages is designed with love, reflecting cherished memories and the heart of our family.



Welcome to Hunter’s Hideout

Hunter’s Hideout is a one‑of‑a‑kind, hunting‑themed cottage in the heart of Geneva—just 190 steps from the Strip. Designed by Celeste, this cozy retreat celebrates her father‑and‑daughter bond and their shared love for the outdoors. Growing up, we even had a pet raccoon, and Celeste spent countless special moments exploring nature and hunting alongside her dad. This cottage is a tribute to those memories.



Unique décor fills the space—antler lamps, towel antlers, playful raccoon photos, and rustic touches that bring the outdoors inside. Every detail reflects our family’s personality and adds something truly special to Geneva.

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Turn off all appliances & lights double check to make sure You didn't leave anything Please put all linens in laundry basket.
We may charge for damages or extra cleaning. Report issues within 20 minutes of arrival. Guests must supervise their group. Don’t move indoor furniture outside. Theft or damage incurs fees.
If you have dogs, please clean up a $250 charge if there's bulk hair on floors or bedding. If you are bringing a dog and he likes to sleep on the bed, please bring additional comforters
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

This location is just off the strip. We could even walk to the lodge. Even though they allow dogs. You wouldn't of even known if a dog had been there. It was so clean. We met the host. She takes a lot of pride in making sure you have a great time. She even gave me a tour of the other 3 units. Each have a different theme. Highly recommend.

The hunters cottage from KCD Cottages was excellent. It was very clean and matched the listing perfectly. We had a little trouble with the door lock but that was probably mostly user error. There are window air conditioners in the two bedrooms and ceiling fans. There is a ceiling fan in the living room. We left the room air conditioners and all fans on to keep the living room cooler, The shower is small and would work better if it had a hand held shower sprayer. The cottage is far enough off the strip that it is very quiet, but close enough to walk to very easily. We loved Mary's Kitchen for breakfast. We had dinner at Sportsterz and the Log Cabin and both were good. We played putt putt at the mini golf course on the strip and then walked to Dairy Queen for ice cream. We did go to the beach at the Geneva State Park (make sure you have sand shoes to wear).Overall we had a great time and would highly recommend KCD Cottages.

Celeste’s Rustic Cottage celebrates her love for the outdoors and the fond memories of her childhood spent in nature. David’s cottage reflects his farm roots and his love for hunting—not as sport, but as a way to provide for his family. It’s a tradition he passed down to our daughter, Celeste, and together, they continue to create lasting memories. Karen’s cottage is inspired by the blue butterfly she saw the day her father passed away, symbolizing love, loss, and remembrance. And of course, Oreo Cottage is named after our beloved dog, who has been by our side through thick and thin, comforting us in the hardest times. Our Grandmother Marge, once fearful of dogs due to childhood trauma, grew to love Oreo after staying with us—showing that even the deepest fears can be overcome with time, patience, and love. We are excited to embark on this journey together and invite you to be a part of our story.
