About this property
Rainbow Ridge Retreat in Payson, Arizona!
Wake up to birds singing, a breeze blowing through the trees, and a view the Mogollon Rim! This 3 bedroom, 2 bath house is conveniently located just 2 miles up Houston Mesa Rd. and is steps from the national forest, making it an ideal place to take your ATVs out and explore. Relax, fish, splash and play in the Verde River at First Crossing or Water Wheel, just 5-7 miles up the road. Look for elk meandering down the street and quail crossing through the yard. During a warm summer rain, view stunning double rainbows on the rim and at night do some star gazing and see the Milky Way.
The house has a large living room with a sectional sofa and plenty of room to stretch out and read a good book or watch a movie. During the winter watch the snow fall while the two fireplaces in the house provide a cozy, relaxing ambience. There are plenty of board games for family engagement as well as a sunroom with tables and supplies for those who like to express themselves artistically through the medium of watercolors, acrylic paints or colored pencils and crayons. Outside there are two patios and a fire pit for roasting marshmallows and a cornhole game for the competitive.
Local restaurants are just a short drive into town, including our favorites Thai Station (in the Basha's plaza) and La Sierra located in Swiss Village. Strawberry, Pine and the Natural Bridge are also located within a twenty minute drive and are wonderful places to explore. For hiking we recommend the 6.2 mile trail off of Phoenix Street as you come into town, and for kayaking, we travel up to Woods Canyon Lake or Willow Springs.

About the host
Hosted by Danielle Hirepan

I am originally from Ohio. In my spare time I enjoy hiking, kayaking, swimming, reading and spending time with my adult children and six grandchildren. I also love playing ping-pong, shuffle board, putt-putt golf and board games. I love being a host because I like to serve people and introduce them to all the fun and adventure on the Mogollon Rim and in the Payson area. I also love to host in order to share my vision for the property. My future goals for the property include adding a ping-pong table, pickleball court, fitness room and developing a fruit orchard and garden.
Why they chose this property
We chose this neighborhood because it is so friendly. From the time we purchased this property, neighbors would greet us as we walked down the street. When my children were younger, we would walk down to a neighbor's house to visit the shetland ponies and the llamas. We love the view of the sunrise, sunset and rainbows over the rim. We also love it's proximity to the national forest and the river.
What makes this property unique
Our property is unique because it is just two miles from town, five miles from the river and has a view of the Mogollon Rim. It is the largest property in Mesa del Caballo and has plenty of room for development. I love to garden and Payson is an excellent area for growing fruits, vegetables and flowers.
