Cozy, relaxing home in the heart of the Alameda island! 7 mins from Oakland Int. Airport. About 20 mins to San Francisco by ferry. Convenient location to UC Berkeley. Close to BART. Beach, parks, local markets and restaurants in walking distance. Alameda has lot of bike lanes. Ideal for families and working professionals year-round.

Well stocked kitchen, gas BBQ grill, deck & patio in backyard to enjoy. Keyless entry to provide uease and security. A beautiful retreat to relax and unwind, this fantastic home is a great place to call homebase while you're away. We hope you enjoy your stay. (ps. There is a studio in the back with its own access from driveway. Backyard is fence/gated partition). **There are parkings in front of the house, and 2-3 house down. To allow access to studio from driveway, pls do not park vehicle on driveway.

Cecilia was so accommodating when we had to suddenly leave our previous booking. She was super responsive and clear and timely with communication. The home itself was so comfortable for a relaxing week and I was impressed with how well the kitchen was stocked with tools and utensils that allowed me to cook AND bake! Thank you and I will be booking again in the future.

Roaches!

Cons:- [ ] Roaches! The owner acknowledged knowing about this days prior to tenant check in.- [ ] Expired food in kitchen (months)- [ ] Toilet doesnt stop running after flush- [ ] Bathroom sink doesn't drain- [ ] house is on very busy street- [ ] Uncomfortable low beds, sofa. Bad pillows- [ ] Another house in back yard with renters- shared yard and driveway- [ ] On street parking only. Driveway is too small for modern cars- [ ] Dirty overall (not cluttered, just dirty places like where tub meets floor)- old spider webs - [ ] Broken blinds on each window - [ ] No dresser in 2nd or 3rd bedrooms, minimal hangers throughout house. Means clothes are on floor with roaches- [ ] One closet in primary full of junk and unusable for renters- [ ] Bed sheets so old the elastic is worn, meaning every morning the fitted sheet is off the mattress. No sheets for the twin pull outs. - [ ] Light bulbs missing in lights in primary bed, full bath vanity, kitchen- [ ] Soaps/shampoos in bathroom empty- [ ] No laundry detergent at all- [ ] Main reason for VRBO instead of hotel was to cook and have a living room to relax. Could not do either due to roaches in kitchen and uncomfortable sofas in living room. A lot of extra money spent due to eating out every single meal. (No refund or compensation offered by VRBO but owner did give 300 back of a 2150 rental once pressed)- [x] Shower is challenging to use- needs new nozzlesPros:- [ ] is as pictured and in cute area, nice decor

Thanks for your review here. Those were brought-in German roaches that cleaner found. They had the kitchen treated and replaced pest hotel. Professionally treated in June. All surfaces including sofa, cushion covers were cleaned before next guests check in. We don’t notice any more roaches since.
