It is spacious with enough room for a family of 6 people. All 3 bedrooms have queen size beds. It has a private deck with views looking towards the beach 3 blocks away. It's an easy 2 blocks walk to Park St. with over 40 different restaurants; or groceries at Safeway supermarket 3 blocks away. It has a fully stock kitchen, breakfast area with coffee machine, tea, ground coffee, cream and sugar. It has 2 free private parking spaces.

The bathrooms have closets with over 50 bath towels, 30 wash rags and hand towels.

Its just 3 blocks to the Safeway supermarket for groceries. The South Shore shopping Center is just 3 blocks away with department stores, banks, jewelry stores and many other stores which makes shopping exciting.

It has its own private entrance, beautiful hardwood floors. Fully stock kitchen with granite countertops, large refrigerator, Dishwasher and a breakfast area.

The Apartment has beautiful red Oak hardwood floors throughout. The living room opens out to the deck with outdoor furniture where guests can sit and enjoy the view looking towards the beach 3 blocks away. The deck is surrounded by a large avocado tree and privacy fencing. It also has a Pack N play baby bed and highchair for infants. Its a 8 minutes drive to the Alameda ferry station on Main St. to San Francisco.

San Francisco is just 20 minutes drive away over the Bay Bridge or via BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) and the Alameda/Oakland ferry to San Francisco. The Oakland Airport is just about 3 miles away.

I feel good about hosting because I believe that I give travelers an option by providing them a place to stay with a kitchen to cook their own meals when they are on vacation instead of having to go to a restaurant for every meal.

Why they chose this property

The property is in the Gold Coast neighborhood of Alameda. It is a beautiful neighborhood and the home is just 2 blocks from Park Street, the main street in Alameda where there are over 40 different restaurants and shops. It is also just 3 blocks from the beach. I walk to Park St. many times to eat out and I don't have to worry about finding a parking space on the busy street.

What makes this property unique

This penthouse is a CLASSIC. The building is registered with the City of Alameda as an HISTORIC BUILDING. The penthouse is on the 3rd floor of this Large 1889 Victorian. It covers the whole top floor of the building. This 1889 Victorian house has 7 gables and windows in all directions. From the back deck you can sit on the wagon wheel chair and look all the way down to the beach which is 4 blocks away. The view is beautiful. There is a avocado tree hanging over the deck that bears many avocados and it also give you privacy. There are stairs to climb. But when you get to the top of the stairs and enter the penthouse it makes it all worth the climb. The fireplace, the redwood ceiling, the 1889 old brick chimney, the view from the deck., the outside furniture on the deck with a redwood table and chairs where you can have dinner outdoors all makes it a special place to stay in the heart of the city. The penthouse is in a location that has easy access to the 880 freeway which will take you to anywhere in the San Francisco Bay Area and the Oakland Airport about 3 miles away. It is also just a 10 minute drive to the Alameda ferry station on Main St. to San Francisco.
