Welcome to Corgie House (722 Corgie Street) in the heart of historic Cape May, New Jersey. This Victorian beauty was purchased in October 2024 and has been renovated with great care to both highlight its heritage (built in the 1890s) and to bring contemporary comfort to its guests.
Corgie House is on one of the most special tree-lined streets in town, with its house length traditional porch allowing for days to be spent on it sipping iced tea, watching passersby, and listening to the hoofs of the horse-drawn carriages nearby. Within 1 block to the center of town and walking or biking distance to the beach, the location is perfect.
This large 7 bedroom and 3 full bath home has 2 formal family rooms and a second-floor all-season family room that has its own walk-up entrance and balcony. The house sleeps up to 18 with three king bedrooms, a bedroom with two queens, a bedroom with a full-on-full bunk and separate full bed (perfect for kids), a bedroom with a queen bed, and a bedroom with a twin daybed. The house includes a fenced in backyard with grill and blackstone for dining al fresco.
When you stay at Corgie House, you can enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner at some of the best restaurants in Cape May, shopping on the Washington Street mall, cocktails at Congress Hall or The Washington Inn, 4 churches, and even the grocery market--all within a few blocks of the house. The house is directly across from the iconic Southern Mansion.
Guests should bring their own sheets and towels or use a rental service, but pillows and duvets are included. There is a washer and dryer on both floors. Off-street parking is available in front of the house for two cars and there is unmetered street parking in the area. Rentals are from Sunday to Sunday in May though September. The house is available for full weeks or long weekends mid-September through April.
