Grass Valley is home to this holiday home. Colfax Area Heritage Museum and Center For The Arts are cultural highlights, and some of the area's landmarks include Bourn House and Bourn Cottage. Grass Valley-Nevada County Chamber of Commerce and Nevada County Narrow Gauge Railroad Museum are also worth visiting.
This is a great location for large family or friend vacations. There are additional cots located in every room in addition to the beds listed. The kitchen is fully stocked with spices and coffee. The house has a private dock off a trail, and has kayaks, paddle boards, life jackets. It's definitely a fun house with plenty of space for quite and relaxation too!
My group had a wonderful time in this gorgeous house. There was plenty of space and the main floor has great flow and hang out spaces. Plus the view of the lake and surrounding trees made you feel like you were in a peaceful private retreat. Definitely recommend a visit!
Beautiful house! Exactly as posted in the photos. Bobby is so quick to respond and super helpful. My group of friends had a wonderful long weekend and we hope to be back next year.
Booked the Rollins Cove Retreat for a big family vacation and it was such a dream to stay in! The house is gorgeous and so tastefully decorated. It’s also incredibly spacious and so well equipped with everything you could need. We had about 26 people and everyone was super comfortable. We loved it so much, we’re thinking about making it a yearly getaway! Highly recommend!
We absolutely loved it here. We were a large group of friends staying over a long weekend. Everything in this property feels like it was made with love and intention, from the comfortable furniture and bedding, the phenomenal kitchen, to the speakeasy, outside spaces, and lake equipment. Vibe is super private, lake is gorgeous, and the views are impeccable.Communion has been super easy, responsive, and straightforward.
The host is very communicative, the home is spacious with lovely decor, and the dining room sliding doors offer a serene view of the lake. The home has more than enough space for large groups, with thoughtful design of several areas to gather. The pool table is really nice and we often sprawled out on the ultra-comfortable speakeasy couch while watching the Olympics. Their speaker system connected easily and a binder had lots of useful information. We were happy that 5 of the bedrooms have attached bathrooms, and were surprised to find 1 room is through the garage and another room is an office with a murphy bed. I recommend a short drive over for the tours at Empire Mine State Historic Park then wandering through their historic downtown streets. There are lots of other hikes within a drive, although the house was so nice that we spent most of our time there playing games. I would highly recommend this rental and would love to come back when it's warmer to kayak that lake.
We stayed here in early December for a large family Christmas gathering, and it was an amazing experience. We had 25 people in our group, and the house accommodated everyone comfortably. The home felt cozy and inviting while still being modern and beautifully updated. It truly has the elegance of a luxury home, while maintaining a warm, woodsy lake-house feel. The drive in through two coded gates made the property feel very private and secluded.Loved that the hosts put up a Christmas tree for our stay, a thoughtful touch that made our holiday gathering extra special. The outdoor spaces were fantastic, especially the two fire pits, one on upper deck and one near jacuzzi deck. The screened-in upper deck was perfect for enjoying the outdoors at night, and the porch swing couch quickly became a favorite spot for everyone.Layout worked incredibly well for a large group. The number of bathrooms was huge plus, and kitchen was spacious enough for many people cooking at once. Dining tables easily seated our entire group for meals together. Lake views were peaceful and beautiful, even in December had warm weather, with a few brave guests taking a dip in the lake.Communication with the host was fast and helpful throughout our stay.A few tips for future guests: there is a drip coffee maker but no Keurig, plan accordingly. Bring extra towels for jacuzzi or lake use. Red clay near the lake stains shoes, bring footwear you don't mind dirtying. Overall, a wonderful stay!
Absolutely stunning home! Was an incredible stay for 5 couples to have a relaxing weekend. Nothing was a miss on the listing and was greater than expected.
