Red House Farm, an Historic Metamora MI Equestrian Estate
Metamora's historic Red House Farm nestled in the heart of MI.'s premier horse country. Rolling hills, roads canopied with trees, fiery sunsets, country roads and storybook views and hospitality.
This equestrian estate leaves nothing to be desired. Over 24 acres, of beautiful barns, Main house, salt water pool, pool table, hot tub, sauna, lavish furnishings, decorations and original contemporary and period art.
Horse lodging available or arrange a horseback or carriage ride with our concierge. Red House Farm is a working horse farm.
The farmhouse features 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms upstairs and 2 bedrooms 1 and half bathrooms downstairs. Two fireplaces in bedrooms, 1 fireplace in living room, 1 fireplace in the kitchen, 1 wood stove in the den, 1 fireplace in the game room and 1 outdoor fireplace. We supply firewood for your stay.
Other features include 4 individual spaces for relaxing and entertaining; a very large living room with seating, desk, library and rustic game table, Den with over sized leather sofas,main entrance parlor and bar and a seperate entrance cellar lounge with bar seating and pool table.
Outside we have two large patio areas for cooking, relaxing and gathering. Saltwater pool, outdoor fireplace, beautiful flower beds and landscaped lawns. Lawn games including corn hole, croquet, badminton and horseshoes.
Safety features include smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, fire extinguishers and whole house generator.
Kitchen has every appliance you could ever want or need with a very large island. Very spacious with a galley pantry.
We allow 2 dogs upon pre-approval and have a pet shower.
Four car garage with with 2 stalls available for guests.
The roads in our enclave are gravel and make for wonderful hikes or jogs. Our area has some of the most beautiful equestrian estates, historic farmhouses and barns in Michigan accessible by foot or a slow meandering drive. Our roads are frequented by riders and carriages, so please slow down when passing.
We are available for weddings and events so please contact us for pricing and availability.
Weddings and Events.
Maximum event size is 100 persons. Overnight guests are limited to 10
The additional charge for an event at The Historic Red House Farm is as follows:
The day of Wedding or Event fee is calculated by the number of guests X 10%, X’s the nightly rate. Example: 45 guests X’s 10% = 4.5 X’s the nightly rate of $520 = $2340.00 This fee is in addition to the nightly rate for the house rental.
Cleaning charges:
Up to 35 guests $400.00
Up to 65 guests $800.00
Up to 100 guests $1200
On sight parking is limited to 1 vehicle per 4 guests. Vendors are allowed 1 vehicle per 2 staff members. Guests in excess of the parking numbers must use shuttle services such as Uber to come to and from the property. Driveways will not be blocked as to obstruct emergency vehicles.
Quiet hours are from 10 pm to 8 am
Red House Farm does not provide table chairs, tents, dance floors, catering or toilet facilities.
Housekeepers will be assigned to stay at the property during the wedding, receptions and events to facilitate upkeep. The housekeeper will not act as wait staff but will keep the bathrooms, and areas of the house and facilities cleaned during the event.
Ceremony, receptions and events are from 3Pm to 10Pm. Last call is at 9PM and music will end at 9:30 PM All guests must depart by 10 PM and vendors must finish tear down and clean up by 11PM
The Historic farmhouse will not be used by any guests except the 10 identified in the Vacation rental agreement.
The kitchen will not be accessible to caterers.
Pool parties are limited to 25 guests but there are no shower facilities for guests.
A smoking area will be designated however no smoking or vaping is allowed around the barns, home or pool.
Children must always be supervised. Guests that do not supervise their children will be asked to leave.
This Letter of Understanding must be signed countersigned by both parties and will be supplanted by a contract.
