This unit was the third condo we rented during our stay in Maui. Westin Villas, Banyon, Hale Kamaole. We actually enjoyed this unit best. We loved the furnishings and location to our favorite activities. The staff was great to work with and very kind.

I was only able to park near my condo 2x in 2 weeks.The grounds are clean and the people are courteous and very helpful.

A wonderful and unexpected benefit was beach supplies we could borrow. The only addition what we would have liked to see is some stock cleaning supplies (glass cleaner, etc.) available to us so we could keep the place (glass tables especially) clean during our stay. Other than that, we loved our stay.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our 2nd time staying at the property. We enjoy it very much. We liked that 220 is closer to the beach and the view at sunrise and sunset is still amazing. I do have a few complaints about this room. It does get extremely hot only having the ac in the room. We had our kids sleep on the sofa bed in the living room and it got very uncomfortable. The fan they provided was helpful but still hot. The fridge was a bit warm for 2 days. I had maintenance look at it which it started getting cooler after a couple days of arriving. Luckily, I had family in another unit so they let me borrow part of their fridge for the 2 days.The shower started not working correctly about 5 days into our stay. It was only pouring out hot water. It was a bit strange. I left a message for the issue but it wasn't fixed for the last 2 days of our stay. Overall, the property, the people, the comfort of the furniture was amazing. There was plenty of kitchen items and the washer and dryer worked perfectly. I'd also like to give thanks to the newer foot/body washing station close the the entrance. It's great to shower off the sand before walking in the units. We do plan to return. We love Hale Kamole!

Reviewer Comments: This was our first trip to Maui but we had been provided a lot of detail from our family members who have been quickly making it a regular location to go. The one place they all agreed on was Hale Kamole as a rental place. They were certainly right. The overall complex is clean and well kept. Generally pretty quiet and the local on site amenities like the BBQs and pool were well kept and convienent. It's right across from one of the best beaches in the area, particularly if you have kids.As for this unit, 220 it was nicely decorated and served us well. If I had one comment to make it would be that there were perhaps a few less sundries and cleaning supplies that one might expect. We were there for 10 nights and 9 days and weren't provided any dishcloths to wash dishes that didn't go in the dishwasher though we did find towels tucked away later, nothing to use in the sink so we bought a couple sponges so we weren't burning through the one roll of paper towel. TP and bathroom supplies were few and far between so just anticipate having to stock some of that up for your trip, not something I'm used to from similar rental properties.The deck has a storage locker like all these units do and this one is definitely well stocked with all kinds of beach stuff, there really isn't anything you'll be lacking in that regard.Beds are quite comfy and overall despite some warm days while there we had a pretty reasonable time keeping the place comfortable day and night.Highly recommend the complex and certainly this unit was a good pick, we'd stay again.

Reviewer Comments: The unit is in a good location on the property (close to beach and pool). I was pleased with the kitchen appliances and tools available. The drop down shade on the lanai was used daily because the unit faces the sun and warms up quickly. I was disappointed in the pull out sofa as it did not have a usable mattress pad. I had to sleep on pillows to prevent myself from sleeping directly on the pointy mattress springs. I communicated my concerns to the front desk but did not have anyone resolve the issue. Because of that, I would only recommend this unit for 2 people and not 4 since the sofa is not a comfortable sleeping arrangement.

The beach chairs and the beach umbrella are in a bad state. Most of the chairs are not usable or falling apart. The kitchen ha one very small pot and one very large pot but nothing between. We noticed that the much needed foam top for the hide-a- bed was badly torn. We had to buy beach towels because there were only 2 as well as only 1 face cloth.

Reviewer Comments: We have stayed in this particular condo #220 many times since 2006 and have always been so happy with it. However since there was a change of owners we have definitely noticed a decline in condition of the condo. This time, (and I must mention it has been about 5 years since we stayed in this condo)we were well aware of how the furniture is generally worn out and soiled now. The carpeting was in need of cleaning. The stocking of lawn chairs was very disappointing to say the least. The original chairs from years ago are still in the closet and are all torn and unsafe. There was 2 newer web style chairs but they are heavy and awkward to carry. I would encourage the owner to visit the condo and do some general updating. At the least, the property needs a deep clean. I would still recommend this property due to its great location and the staff. They are great!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location is alright. But the beach across the street is more of a park with a very small and rocky beach. You will need to walk a few blocks to get to a beach. The closest places to eat are about a mile, so unless you want to walk quite a distance. The condo is plenty spacious. But only the bedroom has air conditioning. The rest of the condo can be stuffy unless you have both the lanai door and the front door opened to create air movement. It was too hot and stuffy for my son to sleep on the make down sofa. The wi-fi in our condo did not work. And there were ants in the kitchen and bathroom. We called the office, but did not receive any assistance.
