First Light – Vintage Waterfront Retreat with Hot Tub, Sauna & EV Charger
⸻
Create lasting memories at First Light, a 1970’s original post-and-beam inlet beach home, and make it your retreat. Wake to the sunrise peaking over Meares Island, casting a golden hue over the water. With nearly an acre to explore, including the yard and private beach, the home comfortably sleeps up to 6 guests. Soak in the hot tub, steam in the cedar barrel sauna, or cozy up to the fire — these touches make the home truly special. From the house or yard, wildlife sightings are common, including orcas, herons, seals, and bears.
⸻
HOUSE HIGHLIGHTS:

Why they chose this property
First Light is situated just on the outskirts of downtown Tofino, before the Crab Dock. This is perfect for car free exploring down town; in the summer months it is often hard to find parking and as of 2023, it is pay parking, so we very much recommend taking advantage of using the MUP (multi use path) and walking, biking, e-bike or grabbing the Free Shuttle that runs in the Summer months to the beaches.
From the house:
To downtown: A block / 1 min drive / 5 min walk
To Chesterman Beach: 3.5km / 5 min drive / 40 min walk
Pacific Rim National Park: 16km / 20 min drive / 1 hour bike

What makes this property unique
As you enter the house, you are met with large windows overlooking the inlet and a propane fireplace in the centre of the living / dining room. The open concept living room has sweeping ocean views and a 55 inch smart tv with Netflix, Prime, Crave log in from the TV (no cable). We've games, books and playing cards for a night in. There is a set of binoculars on the bar cart by the window - keep your eyes open! The house is set up with solar panels to reduce the carbon footprint
