Thank you for the wonderful review. I’m so glad the space worked well for your family and that you had such an enjoyable stay. It was a pleasure hosting you.
Lovely stay! Very clean and well stocked. A perfect space to gather. Close to town and amenities while still feeling somewhat remote and serene. We appreciated being able to bring our dogs, they also enjoyed their stay. The outdoor shower was heaven. Only downside was that the spiral stairs were a bit tricky to navigate for senior parents and dogs, though there are easier to climb stairs outside.
Host was great! Allowed us a late check out which made our day so much easier. Beautiful home and the hot tub was nice touch after a day of surfing. Great location as well.

I’m so glad you enjoyed your stay and that the late check-out made things easier for you. I’m happy to hear you appreciated the home and the amenities. I would be delighted to host you again anytime!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location is perfect as the village of Tofino and beaches are very close. We would recommend this house to any family/group in need of three bedrooms.
The Fetch was cozy and well appointed. It had everything we needed for 3 nights. Although not on the beach, it was close to town and a short drive to all the beaches.

Thank you for the review! Yes, while we’re not directly on the beach, it’s just a short walk along a multi-use bike and walking path to reach several local beaches. You’re welcome back anytime!
We had an amazing stay in Jen and Mike’s beautiful house. The property is exactly as described….. perfect. It is ideally located and Jen was very easy to communicate with. I would definitely recommend and we would all love to return.

Wonderful vacation home nestled in woods
Had a wonderful 4 night stay in Tofino at Alder House. Particularly enjoyed the hot tub nestled among the trees. Close to downtown and connecting trail to Tonquin Beach. Highly recommended.
The property is beautiful, tucked away in the trees close to the brewery and a short drive to town. The hot tub and outdoor shower were great after a day at the beach. The stairs are a little gnarly but were fine once the kids got used to them. Kitchen was well stocked...we’d highly recommend!

Thank you so much Jacinta, it was an absolute pleasure to have you and we hope to host you again!
We booked Alder House for the long weekend in November and it was perfect for our group. The location is right across from the brewery and a short drive into town. Our favourite part of the house was the hot tub, which was nestled out in the rainforest!
Jen & Mike were excellent hosts and responded quickly when we had some questions about our stay. We would happily stay here again on our next trip up!
Wonderful place to stay if you are thinking of a trip to Tofino. There were 6 of us in total, 4 adults and 2 kids, and there was plenty of space for all of us. The main spiral stairs are a little wobbly, but at no time did I feel they were a big problem. Plus if you want there is secondary stairs to the top floors. We are already planning our next trip to Tofino and will definitely be staying here again.

Great family get away!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Alder House in Tofino! This home is comfortable and welcoming, with some adventurous stairs! The hot tub was much appreciated after long hikes in the woods and days of beach combing. The kitchen is quite well equipped for preparing all meals, and the living areas are relaxing. The owners have prepared an outstanding book with tips and suggestions that made our stay memorable. We definitely recommend this house for your next trip to Tofino!

Thank you for the kind words George, it was so lovely to host you and your group. We love Tofino so much and are so happy to hear our recommendation book came in handy. We hope to host you again soon!
Great house, great location. Walking distance to local beaches and town, if you like running/walking, or easy car ride. Lots of window in home make you feel like you are in the forest, hot tub is wonderful! Spiral staircases can be challenging, we needed to use the outside stairs for our dog who was scared of the spiral staircase!
Our family of three adults two kids and a dog really loves staying at elder house for a week. When we arrived everything was spotless and clean. The kitchen was fully stocked and had everything we needed as we spent many of our meals at home. Kids absolutely love the fire pit and hot tub. Relatively close access to the beaches, including McKenzie beach, which is great for the little ones. Also very close to town for when we need to pop in for supplies. Overall fantastic day thank you very much!
We had the most perfect stay at the Alder House on our trip to Torino in early January. It had absolutely everything we needed and was clean and beautiful! If you want to feel like you are tucked away in a cozy cabin in the forest this house is what you are looking for. Jen and Mike have included instructions on how to use everything and were readily available via text whenever we had a question. If you are travelling with other couples it is also ideal because it has three beautiful bedrooms all equally comfortable and nice. I have nothing negative to report our stay. Stay here you will not regret it!

The house was lovely and well appointed, and despite a few hiccups (like broken kitchen items and no coffee supplied) we had a great stay!
There are a few negatives about the place though. Unfortunately sound travels everywhere in the house, the bedroom windows look into the neighbours back patio/hot tub, and the exterior doors in the 2 second floor bedrooms don’t have curtains/blinds either, so it’s not quite as secluded or quiet as it seems in the listing.
The listing didn’t seem to include information that the house is undergoing renovations, so the skylights are covered up, and the stairs are a little wobbly. The furniture in the living room too seems tired (one of the couches has really loose legs and it wobbles whenever you sit down).
But having said all that, we did enjoy the house; cooked/barbecued several meals there; easily walked to and from Tofino “downtown” or to our favourite coffee spot, Tofitian, within about 20minutes; and the brewery is just across the highway!! And it’s an easy drive to any of the beaches.
Thank you! You were a terrific guest, and you're welcome back anytime!
