Nice family break

We had a lovely time at Villa Sellista. The villa was well equipped and generally pretty clean. The pool was great and so nice to have a dip and cool off, as it was a very hot week. The view back over Dubrovnik was stunning. The manager Boris was really helpful when we arrived. The area was a bit run down and very little locally, just the garage down the road. It was a bit of a pain at times having to cross the border back into Croatia, but could be 10 mins of an hour depending on the time of day. Otherwise, no problems with the crossing. Tended to be bit cheaper in Bosnia-H and the nearest town Trebinje is worth a visit.

A lovely quiet secluded location, and the Villa and pool were in a good condition. The owner was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Highly recommended!

Schönes Haus mit Gutem Pool in ruhiger Lage, Grenznähe zu Dubrovnik ist auch von Vorteil. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants in 5-20 Autominuten Nähe.

Très belle maison tout confort avec vue de rêve

La maison est parfaite, moderne, propre et très fonctionnelle. La vue est magnifique. Seul petit bémol sur l'emplacement si vous comptez aller régulièrement en Croatie, le passage de la frontière est très long aux heures de pointe.

The property was lovely and the host was very welcoming but see comments below.

On arrival at the property the kitchen was not clean. The worktops, oven and sink were dirty and the dishcloth was filthy. My wife spent 2 hours cleaning. There was some dirty crockery left in dishwasher from the previous tenants which should not have been there and some of the crockery and cutlery in the cupboards needed cleaning prior to use. The kitchen cupboards were dirty and smelly. We asked for the key to the laundry room and when we went to use it there were dirty towels and sheets from the previous tenant left on the floor. Also there was washing linen left in the washing machine. We asked for extra sun beds which were provided as only 2 were originally there. The cleaner arrived on the 9th day our 2 week stay which was not at the end of our first week so the sheets and towels were changed over later than expected. Finally the barbecue area was dirty and ash was left in the cooking area from the previous tenants. So we had many issues with the cleanliness of the property on arrival which tarnished the start of the holiday. The standard of cleaning requires significant improvement.

We appreciate every comment that helps us improve our guest's experience. Most of our guests have high cleanness standards, but up to now we never have had a complaint about the cleanness of the house or inventory. In case of an complaint or issue in this regard, our cleaning lady and other staff are ready to come immediately and clean anything to the level that satisfies even the most demanding guests. Our manager on site is available 24h, and so is our cleaning lady. We would have highly appreciated if this complaint was communicated to us on the spot and immediately, as there is absolutely no need that the guest cleans anything unless she/he wants to do it herself/himself or has a trust issue in regard of our cleanness standards. Washing machine space is in the basement of the house and it is used by both guests and the lady that does the laundry. Due to change over that happens often in the same day, it is impossible to have this space empty of towels and linen. Guests are welcome to use this space and washing machine as our gesture of courtesy, but is not exclusively for guests' use. But as already said, in case of complaint we more than happy to intervene immediately.
