Quaint feel with exposed brick in rooms. Comfortable beds. Quiet neighborhood, close to Katie trail. Walking distance to historic downtown about a mile away. Several coffe shops within a couple if blocks. Easy access to freeways.
The rental is very nice, and the location is great. However, we had two big problems while we were there. I found a bunch of broken glass on the floor, and my one-year-old son picked up a safety razor blade that was apparently on the floor as well. We kept our kids in shoes the whole time because we were afraid they would step on something sharp. Second, in the morning I took a shower. When I got out, I was wearing a towel when we heard the front door code being punched in, the door opened, and a man walked in. Luckily, my husband was with us but I can’t imagine how afraid I would have been if it was just me and my small children, and a man walked in while I was not yet dressed. The property manager followed up and it was apparently a repairman, but giving people the code while people are renting the property is a huge safety issue. Are they changing the codes between people renting? It doesn’t seem like it. This could be a very nice rental if it was safer with better cleaning and a more secure code-generation process.
