About this property

Farm Adventure | Animals + Fire pit | Lakes Region

Step into a quieter rhythm of life in this lovingly restored farmhouse apartment, where mornings begin with pasture views and evenings end in a soaking tub overlooking grazing horses and mini cows. Wrapped in 1790s New England charm yet finished with modern comfort, this peaceful farm stay invites you to slow down, breathe deeply, and settle into something timeless.
Picture this… you arrive at a historic New England farmhouse, where time seems to slow the moment you step onto the land. The air feels calmer here. Fields stretch out around you, trees sway gently, and horses, mini cows, and potbelly pigs move quietly through the pasture as if welcoming you in.

Inside, the apartment feels warm, cheerful, and thoughtfully restored—classic farmhouse character layered with modern comfort. Morning light pours through the windows as you wake in luxurious linens, pastoral views greeting you from every angle. There’s no rush—just the rhythm of the farm beginning its day.

The kitchen invites easy, unhurried meals. Granite countertops, a full-size stove, and everything you need to cook make it just as enjoyable to stay in as it is to head out. Coffee is best enjoyed slowly here, whether at the bistro style seating for two or outside near the fire pit, listening to the sounds of the land.

The true pause comes in the bathroom. Sink into the soaking tub, water warm and quiet, with wide-open views of the pasture beyond—animals grazing, clouds drifting, the world moving at a gentler pace. It’s the kind of moment that makes you forget what time it is.

When the day calls for rest or focus, the living room offers a cozy place to unwind by the woodstove, stream a favorite show, or settle into work with fast Wi-Fi and a dedicated workspace. Evenings stretch long and peaceful, whether spent in the hammock, by the fire, or watching dusk settle over the fields.
This is more than a place to stay—it’s a return to something simpler, where comfort, privacy, and nature come together effortlessly.

We really enjoyed our stay in the working farm apt. The spa bathroom was spacious and beautiful, the kitchen cozy and the farm animals were so chill and sweet. The king size bed was comfortable. Communication w Patti was almost immediate. The farm workers were lovely to chat with. We appreciated they allowed our 80 lb dog. She's not allowed on furniture so a good traveler.I would like to suggest a sponge, drying rack and towels in the kitchen. We did have to clean a few things before using likely because previous occupants didn't have these expected items to do the cleaning. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend the location to others. Laconia, Alton and Wolfeboro close by and had what we were looking for in a relaxed vacation.

The main reason for booking this place was the animals and the option to reserve a trail ride or private yoga class. I message the host, Patty several days before our arrival to schedule in advance. Patty never got back to me with a day & time for the trail ride and yoga class. In fact, I messaged her 2x and even though she responded to my messages before our arrival and during our stay she claimed not to have seen my message. On the second day of us being there, she responded with “sorry didn’t see the message” with no explanation as to why I wasn’t able to book any of those activities. As for the house, it is definitely an old farmhouse that was partially renovated. The best thing about the house was the bathroom w/ the jet soaking tub and shower. As for the rest of the house, the plumbing had issues. The circulator for the heat was so load it kept us up for 2 days. The host wasn’t able to fix during our stay. The smaller bathroom had a very strong mold smell so we kept the door close during our stay. Most of the electrical outlets had no plates, unfinished upstairs that has a big opening leading to a crawl space, creepy. The 1” thick foam board wasn’t even nailed to the wall, just leaning up agent the wall to over the hole. I strongly suggest not to book if you have young children. Also bring your own sponge so you can scrub the dry eggs off the frying pan. Some of the windows had foam spray and they let in a lot of cold air so bundle up. This home looks better in photos.
