About this property

Jo Mac pond-side retreat

Welcome to this newly built home on Jo Mac Rd., 15 minutes from downtown Carrboro and 20 from downtown Chapel Hill (& UNC hospitals). The house sits in an open field uphill from a pond and surrounded on the other 3 sides by trees. It is near the HoneySuckle Teahouse (about a half mile away), the Eco-Institute at Rock Quarry Farm (a little over a mile away) & Rock Quarry Farm (about 3 miles away) -- not affiliated with any of those, we just know them as nearby neighbors doing neat work and hosting cool events!

Our home is fairly accessible, with a welcoming ramp from the parking area to the back door, ADA-compliant front and back doors, one-level living, and a large walk-in shower in the main bathroom.

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Gather used towels
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Please leave the house neat, but no need to worry about cleaning – we’ll handle linens and laundry and such.
If the in-house trash cans fill up, please tie the bag shut and put it in the big trash can out on the back porch. There are more trash bags under the kitchen sink.
Recycling can go in the bins on the porches. We can recycle paper/cardboard, plastic bottles, aluminum cans, and glass. Other items, and soiled items (like greasy food wrappers) go in the trash.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
