The kitchen was extremely well outfitted and very spacious! The lighting was also excellent. This historic house was thoroughly renovated and very comfortable, with many superlative upgrades!!
We celebrated Christmas with family. With some extra chairs and a table we hosted two meals for 12 and it was great. Cynthia could not have been better to work with. Highly recommend this location
We were in Maine for family time and were incredibly happy at The Old Bell Tavern. I loved everything about the property from the spacious kitchen and dining area, comfy living room and bonus room (although the all white decor had us a little intimidated), fabulous deck and super comfy bedrooms and bathrooms. The hosts were very responsive and helpful throughout our stay!!We did not get to enjoy much of the neighborhood because we were back and forth to Lisbon but we definitely recommend the Brickyard Hollow Butcher Block Craft Pizza - Yummy!!
This historic house is beautifully appointed and impressive. The kitchen is impressive and the house has anything you could ever need. We were most interested in the rich history of the area and Cynthia provided some great details. We even went down to the cemetery and found the builder Peleg Chandler's son's grave. Cynthia told us about the historical society being open on the first Saturday of every month and were able to go down and talk with them and see some of the artifacts including the Original Bell Tavern sign. It is a great area and we used it as our home base to take day trips to Portland, Kennebunkport and even down to Portsmouth NH.
