Peace and quiet
If you are looking for a quiet couples retreat this is the place.
We found this Villa at the end of a dusty road with few residences along the way. There was no traffic and very few other people around. The gardens are lush and irrigated, there is also a small olive grove to the side of the villa. I found the outside space with the covered patio, an amazingly good BBQ and deck chairs just perfect.
We enjoyed many meals on the patio.
You are a short distance by car to the beaches and town and a short walk to a small supermarket more than met our needs. The booking agent Salvatore arranged an airport transfer for us who delivered us to the door and gave us a brief explanation about the villa and town, he recommended a restaurant at the end of the road La Duchessa- I think we would likely have never visited if it was not for this and we enjoyed the food and easy going atmosphere so much we ate here twice. I highly recommend this place if you want to eat in a local place full of locals.
This holiday was excellent for what we wanted, there are some lovely traditional and cool trendy cafes and bars in town for drinks. We liked to walk into town in the afternoon or evening for a drink, I can understand some may find it a little far.
There is lots to do in the area, it depends on what you are looking for, be it history, culture, food and wine or nature. We are returning to the area with our baby son this year, booking with this agent as he is very accommodating, responds to your emails and questions very quickly. he has once again arranged a airport pickup, hire car and helped us choose the best villa to suite our needs.
I have and do recommend this Villa to friends and couples.
