About this property

Best Spot on the San Marcos River!

Our home is one of the few on the San Marcos River! Minutes from San Marcos city center and nestled on the heart of the San Marcos River. Our home is perfect for families or trips to get away from the city. Host your family get together or spend time with friends, our home is the perfect gathering spot.

In addition to the stunning views and river access, the home has brand new bedding, linens, kitchen appliances and furniture. Bathroom remodels completed December 2020!

We welcome families and small children. We have 2 pack-n-plays, 2 high chairs, baby bouncy seat and a toddler mattress (on the floor) for use. We typically have a handful of various life jacket sizes for guest use. In addition to the 4 bedrooms, there is a loft for additional sleeping space (queen bed) and air mattress (living room). We have a great deck out back with ample outdoor seating to relax and enjoy the river view. Our home is on the river and you have private access to river with easy access stairs. Put your chairs in the water and enjoy the sandy shore in the river in front of our property.

Please check in with Texas State Tubes for COVID changes. You can rent tubes or pay for a ride up the river a quick walk from the house at Texas State Tubes (Closed Oct 1-March). They will take you up the river and you can float right to the home! Also nearby: San Marcos Square, Wimberley, TX, festivals and live music! Also a quick 30-40 minute uber ride into downtown Austin.

You will have access to the entire home! We also have a gas grill, fire pit and back yard games for use while on the property.

We're available 24/7 via text, phone, or AirBNB messaging, but provide our guests with privacy during their stay.

We're right on the San Marcos River just a short walk (4 houses) from Texas State Tubes! No driving necessary, just float your way home.

Home has an outdoor surveillance camera that over looks the driveway. No additional cameras on the property.

Home is also in the country. You may see wildlife while on the property. Home is sprayed every 3-4 weeks. Wildlife includes but not limited too: hogs, snakes, spiders, scorpions, bees.

San Marcos is conveniently located between Austin, Texas and San Antonio, Texas for those flying in. Both airports are a quick drive to the home.

This is a very rare spot on the river! Guests can park their chairs on a sandy shoal in the middle of the river without having to worry about the current.

We cannot split weekends March-September. All weekend bookings must be both Friday and Saturday nights.

We had a great time and the location was amazing! Close to everything, tubing, Gruene town, etc. the house was comfortable and the deck was nice to hangout and relax. We had a great experience!

Great outdoor gathering spot

This property is great for gatherings. We had family and friends over after our daughter received her ring at Texas State. The location was perfect for that. The large trees provided great shade and the kids enjoyed playing in the river with the tubes provided at the house. If you like hanging outdoors the deck is impressive and spans the entire back of the house with plenty of space for everyone!

Such a perfect section of the river! Awesome outdoor deck. House is very nicely updated. Had high chairs and pack’n’plays which made it very convenient and nice not to have to bring our own.

Great river front house, no accessories needed

We had five couples enjoying this spacious home for Labor Day weekend. The house was perfect. The location could not have been better. Just a short walk to Texas State Tubes to grab the shuttle to float. When done, you can hop off at the house. There was lifesize connect four, bag toss, floats, kayaks, a grill, Keurig, pump to air up items; we really didn't need to bring much. The deck is amazing and we very much enjoyed watching everyone coming in from the river. The beds were all very comfortable. The house stayed cool. We all went on and on about how perfect it really was. We can't wait to come back!!

Beautiful Spot on the River

We enjoyed our visit to this great home on the river in Martindale. Hosts were communicative and the home was updated, comfortable and well stocked. Really pretty spot on the river - good fishing - we caught several nice bass. Our dog loved the yard and wading in the river. The deck is huge and nice. Would definitely come back.

Perfect Family Weekend

Everything was absolutely wonderful! Even before our arrival, our wonderful host was quick to respond to all of our questions. Once we arrived, easy check in. The place was clean and very roomy for our family 10 adults and 4 children. The kitchen had everything we could need. Location was perfect!! Absolutely loved just walking down the back yard and jumping in the river for some relaxation with the family. Can't wait to return!

Fantastic location

Great house and it’s the perfect spot on the water. Young kids stay entertained too with the fun activity area in the backyard. Owners were great during the entire booking process.

A True Gem

The house and location are amazing. There’s plenty of rooms for sleep, but what makes this home special is the deck and ease of access to the river. The patio is spacious and beautiful with the lights and trees and our twins especially loved the outdoor games. My family made memories to last a life time and we are looking forward to booking again! It’s worth every dollar!

Texas State Homecoming & Alumni Reunion

Absolutely incredible property! Great place to lounge around and catch up with long time SWT friends and that is exactly what we did. Everyone was complimentary of the amenities, especially the deck and the wonderful view of the river. Close enough to San Marcos for quick access, but far enough to escape the noise and crowds. We are definitely planninng to re-book for 2020! Michael

Pre-4th family get-away

Our family had a wonderful stay. The house had "everything" you could possibly need for this type of trip. It is the perfect location on the river, 1 minute walk to the tube rental, tube and kayaks in garage. The firepit area was great for sitting and visiting. It has outside games, indoor games, literally everything you need. Plenty of room for 12 adults. The only thing you should plan for are flys - once we figured out how to corral them - we were good. We would definitely stay again. Hayleigh was quick to respond to any questions we had. Also, PLENTY of parking in the driveway.

Collin is Pennsylvania native and loves all things Pittsburgh sports!
