Just a mile east of Skaneateles Village, The Captain`s Hideaway offers a serene retreat, tucked behind a tranquil wooded area that ensures privacy and peace. Despite its proximity to Genesee Street, the property feels like a secluded oasis, surrounded by trees and open grassy expanses.

This newly built barndominium boasts four bedrooms on the main level, and an additional dorm-style bedroom upstairs, accommodating up to 16 guests. The primary suite offers a California king bed, a cozy sitting area with picturesque views, and a luxurious en suite with a walk-in shower and freestanding bathtub. Down a quiet hallway, the second and third bedrooms share a full bathroom, each bedroom with ample space for relaxation. The fourth bedroom, located on the other side of the house, features two queen beds and its own en suite bathroom. The upper-level dorm-style bedroom provides three additional queen beds, an adjacent full bathroom, and a hang out room with a television and desk.

The spacious kitchen is a culinary dream, equipped with two full-size ovens, a professional gas cooktop, and all the essentials—from dishware to an oversized pot perfect for a summer corn roast. Adjoining the kitchen is the bright great room, offering a large comfortable sitting area with 70 inch TV and a fireplace, a dining area, and a separate game table area.

Step outside onto the expansive covered porch, complete with rocking chairs and a picnic table, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the expansive lawn. It is a perfect spot for outdoor fun like glow-in-the-dark golf, lawn games, or simply savoring a rainy day.

Excellent Stay & Responsive Host

We rented the property for an annual family reunion. It was in excellent condition and was wonderfully appointed. We had one issue while there which was dealt with immediately by the property manager in a very satisfactory way. Strongly recommend this property for a large group.

We booked this location for 4 families who all had teenagers competing in a wrestling tournament. We wanted to be together under one roof, instead of in a hotel. This space was perfect. The kids had their own area upstairs and the adults were able to unwind in comfort downstairs. The space was absolutely beautiful, our only regret was not being able to stay longer! Extremely comfortable, very clean, and felt like home. This place would be amazing during the summer for a large group. We look forward to booking again!
