Master suite (queen) large bathroom with jetted tub and separate large shower. Door onto deck overlooking creek. Large second bedroom with four twin beds (large enough to hold adults comfortably) also has attached 1/2 bath. Third bedroom has 2 queen beds separated by a curtain with full bath. Very large kitchen, fully equipped ( please bring your own paper products, food & spices) dining room table seats 12 island seats four. Kitchen slider opens onto deck. Large TV room (bring your DVDs, CDs, VCR tapes or use ours!) off street parking approximately two vehicles with boat trailers fit snug. Also parking on street. Three boat ramps within 1/2 mile. (Sorry, no RV's allowed in driveway.) Canoe with life vest available at your own risk. Ping Pong, Foosball, Books, Games, Puzzles, Fishing is a must bring your pole. Bass, Perch, Catfish, Salmon (Seasonal), Striped Bass if your lucky. Outdoor BBQ, Relax and have fun. Store Restaurant & Marina within a block. Beautiful home with locking fenced driveway to park your vehicles in. Tie Dye store has hoodies, shirts, overalls, shorts, kites, earing's, rings, metal art, plus many other fun items, Antique store, the Lodge has dining and a full service bar, Yoda Hut has food, Stables Cafe offers Burgers fries, with a comfort menu. beer, wine, all within walking distance. Day use park on ten mile lake with lots of sand to play in with palm trees, plus County boat ramp. Library, ATV rentals at Spinreel. Beach is 5 miles away in Winchester Bay south jetty. Crab Dock, Charters for Ocean or Umpqua River fishing. Lighthouse is AWESOME! Check it out at night It has a red and white lens that lights up the trees at night. Coos Bay is 17 miles south with the Mill Casino to play at plus many places to explore. Golden & Silver Falls south of Coos Bay is a very beautiful place to see. Shore Acres in Charleston 20 miles away (approximately) has great Ocean Views. Be sure to go to Coos Bay south jetty, look to your right and see the old train tunnels that helped build the jetty no longer in use. Please watch for high tide and sneaker waves. We have a lot of gems hidden in the area. Go and explore the beauty that the area has to offer. Dress in layers for all seasons because the beach will be colder than inland most days. Tenmile stay 2025

Loved the home, very clean, very roomy. We had 10 people and never felt shoved in a small home. The deck and fishing were great. Just 2 things, #1 homeless are a problem under the bridge which is right next to home. Dena was on top of it but i couldn't keep bugging her to deal with them. Many times i couldn't let my grandkids out to play because it got a little hairy. #2 we didnt realized that it's 2 homes that share the deck that was a little different as you couldn't just be you cuz of strangers, very awkward.

Starboard house

Had a great time staying at this place. Had a locked gate which made it nice to keep the can ams in at night time. We have a 53 ft car hauler we hauled everything here with which we werent able to park here. Wasnt that big of a deal since we had other friends who came down too. Dock made it perfect for our kids while we were at the house since they love fishing. We would definitely rent this place again. Perfect sized place for big groups!

Overall, a decent place to stay. The floorplan is open so you don't feel like you're on top of each other. Property is actually a THREE bedroom not four as advertised. (Two queen beds are separated by a curtain in one room.) Also, you share a gate/entry way with another small house that is NOT part of the starboard house. The hot water thermostat is set way too high (scalding) so older guests- please by cautious! There are no cleaning supplies under kitchen or bathroom sinks to clean as you go, so bring your own. The queen mattress in the master bedroom is very hard & uncomfortable. Be prepared to wake up sore. The pillows are very thin.The house was somewhat clean however there is an unpleasant odor towards the front of the home. Unsure if it is mildew or just 'old house' smell. The town of Lakeside was very cute and seeing the wildlife from the back deck was enjoyable.

Perfect for our family gathering

This home was perfect for our family to come together and have our annual gathering. LOVED the game room area. Great place for the teenagers to hang out away from the adults. If the weather had been nicer, I am sure we would have utilized the deck and boat. Very convenient to have a small grocery store right across the street. It was a little noisy being right on the street and next to a bar but we expected that as we read previous reviews. This did not detract from our enjoyment. Easy to communicate with the owner and property manager. We hope to return.

Great For Families

I was here over Christmas vacation, it was a great setup for our family. Plenty of space, large dinning table for everyone to sit around. It was nice to have a place that accepts pets so they could come with us. Quiet little town with a grocery store right across the street! No need to worry if you leave something at home. A beautiful beach was just 5 min away! we were able to purchase fresh oysters and grill them that night. yummy! ATV rentals are just around the corner for some sandy fun. We are lucky enough to have our own and we felt they were safe with the gated parking. We fished right off the dock and the kids had a blast. We will defiantly be back!

Great access to Spinreel OHV Staging Area and the grocery store.

We stayed for four nights the week after Memorial Day weekend. We came with our UTV and spent four great days riding the dunes. We did fish a little and even managed to catch a few decent sized bass off our own personal dock. Fishing wasn't our top priority but if it had been this was also a great location for that as well. We did briefly use the provided canoe to fish some on the main lake, which was only a short paddle down the creek. The marina is located within walking distance to the property where you will find a friendly staff that rents boats and sells loads of fishing gear and tackle. There are several boat launch sites in close proximity to the home. The bar & grill next door prepared us a great dinner on our night of arrival. This was a welcome bonus as it was late and we had no food to prepare four ourselves. The grocery store across the road makes it convenient to procure all of your supplies. We found the house to be spacious and accommodating. There was ample parking for our truck and trailer and the gated lot offered a secure storage solution. There is good access to lots of coastal attractions in both directions up and down the coast.

Mixed feelings

As far as the property its self, it was ok. We have stayed at much nicer. It was plenty roomy. Being situated where it was just didnt feel like the get away we wanted. Having a bar next door with some rowdiness was annoying and the individuals using drugs under the overpass wasn't what I wanted my family around. The sheets on the beds had hairs on them when we pulled back the top covers. The BBQ would have been a nice touch had it been clean prior to wanting to use it. It was covered with whatever someone else chose to char on to it. The utensils in the kitchen all needed washed. Still had food on some of them. The pet area is only ok for big dogs. Small dogs will get out. When reading bring paper products I assume that would mean paper plates and paper towels, not even toilet paper too. And the worse part was not having a good enough amount of water in the canal to enjoy the feel of a "lake house". Our boat barely made it through the canal. The lake is drying up to the point we almost couldn't launch and reload our boat. (Ripped and destroyed a tire at the boat launch trying to). Overall it would have been nice with some more transparency from Judy when asked how the water level was. If I had known it was that bad i certainly would have chose a different vacation location.

Loved the kitchen dining room

The house has so much beautiful space and we loved the ping pong and football table! We had most of the family at the campground so having the large dinning room kitchen and deck for everyone to cook and gather was fantastic! We weren’t bothered by the noise from the bar next door but there were some people under the bridge that partied late into the night. Other than that it was a great experience and I’m sure we will be back!

MEMORIES FOR A LIFETIME

The property was beautiful with baby ducks and a small black otter. We rented a boat and drove it right up to the dock. We saw a baby bear coming to the lake to drink while boating and were able to get pictures. So unexpected, so wonderful. The property was in a perfect spot with amenities of town. access to the lake. We also drove our side by side to the dunes each day without using our trailer. The rooms in the house were large. Many places to hang out with family and friends but also privacy. We will book it early next year.

Except for layout of house was a nice place to stay. The dog area could use some green space. Only reason brought our dog was because he has operation on leg so rocks were not easy for him. The dock was great tried a little fishing.

Weekend Getaway

This was perfect for all of us and our 1st visit to Lakeside. The wifi wasn't working and the property manager was wonderful trying her best to fix it; in the end it didn't work and it was no biggie. We had fun playing ping pong and Foosball. We also brought our boat and had fun on the water and enjoyed using the canoe. It was a little loud at night with the Tavern right next door but not horribly unpleasant. We had a great time and would enjoy coming again. Thank you!

This property is family owned with 5 older kids lol 4 old gals and 1 awesome brother, nieces, nephews, kids, grandkids, you get the picture, plus our 92 year old Mom who created this wonderful family. We love the location in Lakeside, close to everything! Our family loves to fish the Lakes, Bays, Rivers, & Ocean, water and sand are our playground. Our Mom purchased this home as a getaway for her family. (Way to go MOM). A lot of love and work has gone into both houses. We hope you enjoy the Starboard house as much as our family does. (The Wheelhouse is not included as part of the Starboard house vacation rental. It Shares the driveway with tenants who stay full time.) Why they chose this property

Location, Location, Location, on Ten Mile Lakes, by the sand dunes, & Winchester Bay, slower lifestyle so you can take a minute to breath. Summer is awesome here, not too cold and not too hot. Crabbing and fishing are off the chart. We hope you love it as much as we do.

What makes this property unique

You can ride your ATV's to spinreel from the home, 10 mile creek is right off the back deck. The creek goes Left into the Lake or Right head out to the Ocean down river. Before you head down river just know it takes a lot longer than you think. At least all day, leave a truck at spinreel to pick you up. We are not that far from the Ocean but it switchbacks a lot. So many places to eat with Karaoke and bands. Our fireworks have been fantastic every year. The home is so large you may get lost. It is great for large family get togethers. The back deck is spacious with the large private dock to sit and watch the wildlife. At night bats will fly around the river getting bugs. You may want to keep the door closed at night or you may find one comes on it to visit. We have a stand alone freezer for the extra fish and crab you catch. Plus 2 refrigerators with plenty of room for large family's. Come check us out and see for yourself!
