Summary: Escape to a modern A-frame treehouse just outside Fredericksburg. Nestled on 17 acres, The Cedar Cabin offers Hill Country views, stargazing, and deer sightings, yet you’re minutes from Main St. Swim in the container pool, gather at the fire pit, or simply unwind on your private balcony. Inside, enjoy a king bed, rainfall shower, luxe linens, and modern amenities. The perfect blend of nature and comfort awaits.
The Space: Bedroom: Rest easy in a spacious king-sized bed with plush, hotel-quality linens. A wall of windows fills the space with natural light and treehouse views, while a sound machine and blackout eye masks are provided for a restful night’s sleep.
Kitchenette: Equipped with a mini refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, electric kettle, and French press. Basic dishes and glassware are included for simple meals and drinks.
Bathroom: Refresh in a walk-in shower with rainfall showerhead. Stocked with Public Goods shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion, plus soft towels and a hair dryer for your convenience.
Living Area: A comfortable lounge space designed for relaxation — curl up with a book or log into your favorite streaming apps on the smart TV.
Outdoor Spaces: Sip coffee or wine on your private balcony overlooking the dry creek and native oaks. Around the property, you’ll also find a shared container pool, cedar sauna, propane grill (first come, first serve), and a communal fire pit — bring your own wood for cozy evenings under the stars.
Guest Access: Guests have full access to the Cedar Cabin and its private balcony overlooking the trees and dry creek. You’re also welcome to enjoy the communal amenities across A-Frame Ranch — the container pool, cedar sauna, propane grill (all first come, first serve), and fire pit (bring your own wood).
Please watch for deer when driving in — they’re abundant on the property. Common amenities such as toilet paper, paper towels, coffee creamers, sugar, and trash bags are provided, and we’re happy to bring more if you need extra during your stay.
We have 7 A-frame cabins on the property — perfect if you’re traveling with a larger group. This unit is the sister cabin to the Mesquite Treehouse; they share a structure but do not have any shared walls.
We want your stay to be as comfortable as possible. A few simple guidelines help us keep the property in great shape for everyone: - Adults only — no children under 12. - Please, no smoking inside or around the cabins. - Out of care for our septic system, only flush toilet paper. - Check-in is at 4:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM so our team has time to prepare the space for each guest. - Parking is limited to gravel drives and designated spots only.
Thank you for helping us keep A-Frame Ranch peaceful, clean, and welcoming!
The Neighborhood: A-Frame Ranch sits on 17 wooded acres filled with post oak and mesquite trees, giving you the peaceful feel of the Hill Country while being just minutes from downtown Fredericksburg. Wineries, dance halls, hiking trails, and Main Street’s restaurants and shops are all close by, so you can enjoy both quiet nature and lively town life in the same trip.
Getting Around: The cabin is accessed by a gravel road with some rocky sections. We recommend driving slowly and paying attention when coming in — it’s not an issue if you take it easy, and it adds to the charm of being tucked away in the country. Having a car is the most convenient way to get around Fredericksburg, though Uber and other rideshares are available in town (with limited availability at times).
Other Things to Note: We’re in a designated Dark Sky Community, which makes for incredible stargazing — but nights can be very dark. We recommend bringing a flashlight or two for after dark.
This is the Texas Hill Country, so you may encounter bugs or wildlife. The property is routinely treated for pest control, but critters are part of the natural setting — don’t be surprised if you come across some outside (or inside if doors are left open)
This property is on well water, which is naturally very hard. That can occasionally cause some mineral buildup on shower heads or glass surfaces in the bathrooms. Our team works hard to keep everything clean, but a bit of buildup is part of life in the Hill Country and not a reflection of cleanliness.
Interaction with Guests: We’re a team of Fredericksburg locals who love our town and are passionate about sharing it with visitors. You’ll have plenty of privacy during your stay, but we’re always happy to help — whether that means offering local recommendations, answering questions by phone, or coming out in person if needed.
