We loved our stay! The kitchen was very well equipped with pans, utensils, grilling equipment, etc. however be prepared to buy things like olive oil, salt, pepper, etc for cooking. The views were excellent and we saw whales from the back patio. Access to the Queens Bath made for a great snorkeling and swimming spot right out the back door. We loved our time here and can’t wait to come back.

This home has it all!

We traveled to Kona and rented this home for 8 days Dec 2020. We had a group of 8 family members and the house had plenty of rooms for all. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need , so great. The view of the ocean and proximity to Keiki beach was perfect. We will definitely stay here again.

Spectacular Home and surroundings

This house and property are amazing. You can open up all the doors at the back of the house for a true open air experience. The sunsets from the lanai are breathtaking. Listening to the waves while you enjoy your morning coffee or afternoon libation is a perfect respite. I would stay here again and again. Mahalo for sharing your home with us.

Amazing property!

It was everything and more! An amazing home with an over the top view! There were 3 couples and a baby in our group and we had everything that we needed! We loved it so much that we had a hard time convincing ourselves to go out. Conveniently located to Kona and we loved the little beach. We saw whales off the lanai along with dolphins. Great outdoor seating! Thank you!!!

Didn’t know it would be possible to be better than the listing, but it was!

5 stars all around for this property. The listing is already wow-worthy but when you enter (even beginning with the neighborhood and driveway) everything is jaw dropping. Very spacious, amazing views in everything direction. Kitchen is super well stocked for anything you want to create in your time. Convenient location within central Kona. Chairs, umbrellas, sand toys all available for the beach. Easy to work with the concierge with any issues (only issue we had was door code and got ahold of them in under 2 minutes.) would absolutely stay again!

Beautiful place.

Beautiful place right on the water. Amazing sunsets every evening. Home was very clean and spacious. We loved the home and our stay. Only down fall for us was that, even though it was located in a gated community, the public still had access to the beach. There were dozens of people directly behind the house every day especially during the sunset hours. Some people would come sit on the back rock wall/fence and just hang out for hours.

Perfect friends getaway

3 couples shared this beautiful ocean front home. We loved having plenty of space for everyone to have their own bedrooms and baths. It was also very easy to cook dinner and enjoy the outdoor seating. There is public beach access and there is a fair amount of traffic along the pedestrian wall which runs along the ocean front and is about 25 feet or so from the back porch. So, there are several people checking out the house and the people using it.

Kona Paradise

The home is gorgeous and in a gated community, right on the ocean and just a short walk to the keiki pond. My mom loved the master suite and she and my stepdad stayed nice and cool with excellent air conditioning downstairs. The air didn’t work as well upstairs and the back bedroom shower had no warm water. There should be information about how to turn the living room lights on and off, the switch is in a cabinet, which we learned by calling the property management company. Overall an incredible property, we had a wonderful time, and I highly recommend staying there!

Unforgettable Stay with Stunning Views and Relaxation

Our stay at this VRBO on the Big Island was unforgettable. The views were absolutely stunning, and we found ourselves looking forward to the sunsets every evening—they were simply breathtaking. The kitchen was a dream for anyone who enjoys cooking. It was fully equipped with everything we needed, making meal prep a breeze. We enjoyed many home-cooked meals and felt right at home. The landscaping around the property was beautiful and added to the overall serenity of the place. We loved walking through the lush gardens in the morning—it really felt like our own private oasis. The beach was steps away and our kids were in the tide pools all day, evening and nights! The concierge, David was amazing, got us a once in a lifetime experience with swimming with the Manta Rays, recommended an awesome Coffee Farm and helped my daughter arrange a private Chef birthday dinner surprise on the lanai that was the highlight of my experience! This place exceeded our expectations in every way. If you're looking for a relaxing and beautiful getaway, this is the spot. We can’t wait to come back!

Gorgeous, Comfortable and Perfect

For an absolutely wonderful property to stay on the island of Hawaii...you will have a hard time finding something equal or better. We own our own home on the California coast and always enjoy looking for an alternative ocean front home elsewhere in the world to vacation. Kona Bay Estates 23 will most likely be at the top of your vacation home experiences. The highlights are numerous- Ocean front with great blow hole type wave activity within 100 yards of the most beautiful lanai outfitted with very comfortable dining and lounging furniture for our entire family. The beds and bedding were splendid. The kitchen was very well stocked with all the necessary cooking gadgets and high end appliances. A very calm swimming lagoon within 75 footsteps from the home. Plenty of beach chairs and umbrella and sand toys and snorkel gear for our use. The landscaping alone brings on a calm of its own. Wonderful, wonderful property. Thank you so much for sharing.

Ocean Front and near perfect kids beach

This house was very nice. The decor is more formal than our family’s taste. Nothing wrong or different from the pictures, just not ideal for young children. As shown in pictures there is a fragile sculpture that is not to be touched but it is tempting for young kids. We kept our kids away but it did require extra vigilance that parents should be aware of. The master is on the main level, all other bedrooms are upstairs above garage- far from master. When traveling with small children this isn’t ideal. But the location was beautiful and so close to a wonderful beach for small kids. We had a great stay. I would recommend this house more for families with older children or couples traveling together. Oceanfront location was perfect for watching sunsets and we enjoyed seeing all the boats moving between the harbor and the pier each morning and evening.

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: One night almost spoiled the vacation. Alarm went off about 1230AM and lasted until after 3AM. Tried calling the alarm company and reach NY. Called property mgr and connected to Canada. We had to sleep outside. Alarm company rep located in Hilo. They could not help until the next morning. It was the battery and alarm company rep did not bring tools so he had borrow a pocket knife from one of us to fix the alarm. They said the alarm was not connected, but I said it still went off. It was awful experience.
