Unfortunately, the weather didn’t cooperate during our stay (thanks to Tropical Storm Bertha), but we regrouped and made it a relaxing girls trip. The bathrooms were stocked nicely with fluffy towels, several small “nice touches”, the beds were extremely comfortable, the kitchen had plenty of cooking utensils, etc., the house was quiet, comfortable, and perfect to decompress in. The Baker’s Box was a fun restaurant in town! Highly recommend!!

A fantastic mountain getaway close to many great activities. The house is lovely and worth enjoying for a week at a time, it has everything you need to be comfortable for extended stays. Would love to come back in the fall for apple picking.

This is a lovely home in a scenic area. The host communicated very well, without being intrusive. We enjoyed the clean, modern hot tub as well as spending one night enjoying a fire in the fire pit. This would be a great destination for a couple or two couples looking for a serene cabin, which is also within a short driving distance of a cute town with shops and dining options. My complements to the host and owner.

The property was lovely. We thought the house sat on six accessible acres for additional adventure, but the immediate yard was less than expected. However, we really enjoyed the fire pit, porch swing, hot tub, and the deck chairs right off the kitchen. Overall, we really enjoyed our vacation at this charming cabin!!Being close to Lake Lure, it would helpful to have beach chairs and/or tubes to use. Additionally, a few more hooks in the bathrooms would also give us the ability to reuse towels.Thank you for sharing your property!

My sister and I had a girls weekend at cabin 16 and we had a wonderful time. The cabin was immaculate! The space was perfect, including the hot tub and back porch and front porch swing. Beds SUPER comfy. I slept so well! It was so relaxing!! Great location and absolutely loved the history of the property. Go and you will see what I’m talking about. Very cool little bonus for a history bug like myself. Already talking about talking a trip with my husband next! Highly recommend!! Host put in a lot of thought making the place perfect. Loved every minute.

Absolutely beautiful cabin. Very clean and well maintained. Comfy bed. Hot tub is covered so rain won’t stop you from enjoying a soak and it has powerful jets that work well. Owner quick to respond. Even checked in with us to make sure we arrived with no problems. Love the fact that wood and fire starters are provided. We had no issues whatsoever and loved every minute of our stay. One of the best rentals so far!

I cannot rave enough about our stay here. From the moment we walked through the door we felt at home. It was the first time my husband and I have gotten away in a long time and it was just perfect. Secluded enough to feel alone but close enough to other things. The hosts also had lots of great extras that a lot of VRBO’s do not, like a hotel, shampoo and conditioner, soaps, laundry products, and so on. We also absolutely loved the town of Hendersonville and ate dinner at Brandy’s on Main which was delicious.

We are both six generation natives of Hendersonville and love western NC. We have raised our family here and built a business building custom log homes for 35 years.

Why they chose this property

The cabin is very special to us we have taken a lot of time and handcrafted a lot of the details in this cabin. To us it's a piece of art and we take a lot of pride in it. We want to share with other people and hope they enjoyed as much as we do.

What makes this property unique

The cabin has a large wood-burning fireplace, hardwood floors throughout, granite countertops, travertine tile in the bathrooms, Both bedrooms have king-size beds and TVs, A wonderful bunk bed area in the loft, A large sitting area in the loft with a 55 inch TV and wonderful outside living space with hot tub and fire pit. The property is very private and has an easy access road.
