About this property
Charming Coastal Cape walk to town & waterfront
Have it all: open flowing home to relax and entertain, a quick stroll into downtown Wakefield or the waterfront, and a 7-minute drive to iconic Narragansett Beach. Location, Location - best (quiet, tree-lined) street in Wakefield! Newly renovated with modern details, air-conditioned. Large, open kitchen/dining room & living room to gather. Multiple outdoor areas for lounging. Outdoor shower under a tree canopy. Did we mention you can walk to restaurants & RI’s favorite Brickley's Ice Cream.
The space
This newly renovated home features light, peace, and good vibes. Enjoy our large, fully stocked kitchen: updated appliances, a coffee pot and a French press (take your pick), Vitamix, toaster, all dishware and utensils, microwave, Cuisinart stand mixer etc. The living room and master bedroom have AC units that cool the entire house – the second bedroom has a ceiling fan.
Our open concept dining room/kitchen with marble countertops, central island, and comfortable seating are a highlight – they’ve hosted many a friend/family gathering. The spacious living room flows into a screened-in porch, overlooking the private tree-lined backyard – perfect for naps or meals.
We have two bedrooms: a Master ensuite with a king-sized Tempur-Pedic bed, with views to the private backyard; second bedroom has a queen-sized Purple brand mattress, overlooking the quiet, tree-lined street with amazing sunsets). Two full bathrooms, both fully remodeled with modern fixtures – Master bath boasts heated floors.
The back patio is secluded and serene – perfect for morning coffee, sunbathing, relaxing, or reading in the hammock. The screened-in porch is great for meals all day long or a relaxing siesta.
We include all linens, plenty of towels (including beach ones), beach chairs, and a gas grill. Did we mention the outdoor shower under a tree canopy? We also have bikes and two sea kayaks.
In a nutshell, you can experience the classic summer vibe in a quiet downtown neighborhood, with all the comforts of a beautifully renovated home.
Guest access
Guests will have access to the entire house (minus some locked-off storage rooms and garage in the basement), driveway and full yard. Also included are beach towels, umbrella, chairs, bikes and two sea kayaks.
Other things to note
Our home is perfectly located for easy access to five of Rhode Island's most popular beaches: Narragansett Beach (2.4 mi), Scarborough State Beach (3.4 mi), Roger Wheeler State Beach (4.2 mi), East Matunuck State Beach (4.2 mi) and Matunuck (4.9 mi). The Matunuck Oyster Bar (3.6 mi) and Spain of Narragansett (4.1 mi) are two of the best restaurants in the state. The 12 mile bike path is nearby, too.
Catch the best times of Southern Rhode Island during the end of summer and fall season. The beaches are less crowded, restaurants are easy to get into and the farmers markets are cooler.
