About this property

Cabin on 20 Acres | Wildlife, Big Views, Firepit | Close to Yellowstone

Welcome to The Blackhawk Cabin, a peaceful retreat tucked into Montana’s breathtaking Paradise Valley. Whether you're seeking relaxation or outdoor adventure, this charming, private cabin offers the perfect basecamp for your stay.
Located just 18 miles south of Livingston and about 45 minutes from Yellowstone’s North Entrance in Gardiner, the cabin sits at the end of a classic Montana bumpy gravel road, on 20 acres of open land — often visited by herds of elk, pronghorn, and soaring hawks overhead.
Inside, you'll find rustic charm and comfort with plenty of space to relax. Step outside and enjoy 360-degree mountain views, wide open skies, and brilliant stars at night. Lounge on the wraparound porch, gather around the firepit, play horseshoes, or just soak in the quiet.
Whether you're roasting marshmallows under the Milky Way or enjoying a cup of coffee at sunrise, The Blackhawk Cabin is the perfect place for you to slow down, reconnect, and recharge.

The cabin is spacious with a full kitchen with stove, microwave, full size refrigerator and dishwasher. The clean kitchen is stocked with all you need for staying and cooking in. Step outside onto the expansive wrap-around deck, where panoramic viewsthe theling hills and mountain vistas provide the perfect backdrop for your morning coffee or an evening of stargazing. Whether you're soaking up the peaceful sounds of nature or enjoying a lively barbecue with loved ones, the deck is an ideal extension of your living space. The deck with 4 outdoor adirondack chairs, a pviewsthe thelingwood burning firepit are to help maximize your outdoor time! There is a nice propane grill for guest use and also a horseshoe pit.

*** Also on the property is a smaller guest cabin, The Blackhawk Nest, optionally available to rent with the main cabin. It sleeps up to 5 and is spaced far enough to ensure privacy, but close enough for group gatherings. You can rent both the Cabin and The Nest together if you want to have the entire property to yourself! The Cabin and the Nest each have their own firepit areas and are distanced for privacy and seclusion, as well. Renting both, if available, you automatically get a 10% discount off the nightly rate.

The roads to the Cabin and the Nest are gravel, so please drive slowly. The road and the cabin are plowed in the winter, but we always recommend (though not necessary) a 4wd vehicle.

Nearby, the charming towns of Livingston and Emigrant await with its welcoming community, vibrant arts and live music scene, and local dining experiences. Of course, the grandeur of Yellowstone is never far, only a 40 minute drive to the North Entrance in Gardiner, offering countless opportunities for hiking, wildlife viewing, and exploration of the planets largest concentration of geothermal wonders.

PET FRIENDLY: (max of 2 well behaved dogs) with PRIOR approval and $200 non-refundable pet fee.
