The Neighborhood:

Often compared to San Francisco’s Haight-Ashbury neighborhood, Portland’s Hawthorne District is renowned for its vintage shops, restored theaters, street performers, and vibrant creative characters. This eclectic mix makes it one of the city’s top destinations for both locals and visitors. Adding to its charm, the neighborhood boasts a standout food scene, making a day spent on the bustling Southeast street an effortless delight.

Getting Around:

🚶 Walking — This neighborhood sits between the Division and Hawthorne corridors, two of Portland's best streets for dining and shopping — both within easy walking distance.

🚌 Bus — TriMet FX2-Division serves downtown; Route 75 runs along Cesar Chavez. Check current schedules when planning your trip.

🚲 Biking — BIKETOWN bike-share stations nearby. Portland's bike lane network offers another way to explore.

🚗 Driving — Public curb parking is subject to posted signs and available spaces. Rideshare (Uber/Lyft) is another option.

✈️ Airport — PDX is accessible by car or a MAX-and-bus connection. Allow for traffic and check current schedules.

Other Things to Note:

• Steps lead to the front door.

• This is the main-floor apartment of a duplex, with another apartment above.

This sweet craftsman era home was within walking distance of restaurants and boutiques in the Hawthorne district. We enjoyed soaking in the clawfoot tub, and having old friends around for a celebratory dinner. Plenty of space. Cozy beds. The hosts were friendly a quick to respond to any questions we had. Would certainly stay again!
