Quiet home in the hills along Chestnut Ridge in Acme, PA about 10 minutes from both Mount Pleasant and Donegal, PA. Three bedrooms (King, Queen, 2 Full) sleep 6 adults comfortably and boast luxury memory foam mattresses. Additional rooms with alternate sleeping options (air mattress, sleep kit) allow for additional choices. The fully equipped kitchen with a Keurig coffee maker and dishwasher makes your breakfast routine and meal prep convenient. Multiple living and seating areas, indoor and outdoor, give everyone a place to unwind and enjoy the forested setting with wildlife sights and sounds. House has wifi, central heat, AC, and two full bathrooms. Three streaming televisions allow guests to bring their accounts with them privately. On the wrap-around deck, a propane grill, bar and conversation seating, and rocking chairs give guests plenty of spaces to spend time together. A fire pit and outdoor space and games provide evening entertainment options for guests after outdoor adventures in our incredible nearby local state parks, forests, trout fishing streams, skiing, or other outdoor adventures. Convenient to excellent local restaurants, year round resorts, and architectural gems like Polymath Park, Fallingwater, and Kentuck Knob. Truly a home away from home for a weekend dedicated to outdoor adventure, quiet relaxation, and restoration. Parties are strictly prohibited, and we have quiet hours between 10 pm and 8 am to respect our neighbors and the peacefulness of our surrounding area.

We had a great experience! The host was extremely accessible and kind which I greatly appreciated. The house layout worked great for our family, and we felt like we had plenty of room between the bedrooms, kitchen and living space. The outside decking was very nice, and the setting was beyond relaxing. It was a wonderful getaway to the PA mountains.

The house was beautiful and the location peaceful. The host was so over bearing and pesky for a person like me that uses VRBO and other services like it I’ve never been smothered like this before. It was too much!!

VRBO reached out to us in September with a flag that this rental was high risk for a house party, and we were required by VRBO to confirm house and platform rules with the guests. Their communication in confirming VRBO and our house rules was unfortunate, and this further complicated their rental prior to their stay. We reached out with the lock box code prior to check in and a thank you at the end. We are sorry that the communication was difficult for our guest.

This home is one of the best kept secrets of the Laurel Highlands. The location is so peaceful - the only thing you hear when sitting on the porch is the sound of acorns dropping from the trees, yet it is only a few minutes from town with restaurants and shopping. The wooded surroundings were stunning with the changing leaves - the trees were so thick you could barely see the other homes on the street when looking out the windows. The owner, Kristin, thought of everything, and she checked in periodically to make sure we were well taken care of. The bed was extremely comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked, and there were lots of games and puzzles for a rainy day. It was a great vacation, and we can't wait to come back again soon.
