Exactly as pictured. Clean and cozy. Perfect place to stay. Bed was comfy, enjoyed the lounge and hot tub. Owner is friendly and helpful. Would stay again!
Just a beautiful gem! The property is quaint, and cozy. There were elk on the property when we arrived, and we saw lots of deer during our stay. We recommend the local hiking trails and a visit to Sit N Bull Tavern. Hope to be back to enjoy this fantastic hideaway!
We absolutely loved the treehouse very clean we spoke several times with the host and she was very kind and helpful loved the book that was for suggestions. The hot tub was perfect after a long day of exploring. Definitely recommend this place!
This is a magical space in a charming area. Everything is as advertised. The host exhibited amazing hospitality and genuine care. This is the reason that I rent VRBOs.
The accommodations and amenities were great, however, the BBQ needs a brush to clean it, it probably has food baked on it from years. Secondly, on our first morning the owners broke out their chain saw which was a bit intrusive on the peace that we sought after but we just left to go hiking and hoped they wouldn’t be working too long. It’s also a bit strange knowing the owners are right next door, felt like we were being watched between them being so close and the cameras they have set up. The property itself was amazing, looked just like the photos and had great views.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re so glad to hear you enjoyed the property, views, accommodations, and amenities.
We apologize that there was not a grill brush available during your stay. We appreciate you bringing that to our attention and will make sure one is added right away. We do live nearby, and had we known during your stay, we would have been happy to address it immediately.
Regarding the chainsaw noise, we completely understand how that would feel intrusive when you were hoping for a peaceful mountain getaway. That said, we did not use a chainsaw during your stay. We live across the street from the treehouse, and with fire season and mitigation work happening in the area, it may have been a nearby neighbor working on defensible space. We’re sorry that it impacted the quiet you were looking forward to.
We also understand your comment about our proximity and the cameras. We do disclose in the listing that we live nearby and that exterior cameras are on the property for guest safety and security. The cameras are limited to the parking area and front door only, and there are no cameras in any private guest spaces.
We truly appreciate your stay and your feedback. We’re always looking for ways to improve the guest experience while keeping the property safe and well cared for.
The treehouse was such an amazing stay!! Amy was quick with replies, super welcoming, and overall a wonderful host. This is a perfect getaway. There is plenty of room and everything you could need. Definitely will be staying here again!
The tree house was a really fun adventure for my girlfriend and myself. It was a unique experience that we'll easily be able to remember and share to others in the future. We also cannot wait to be back in Colorado to explore more.On the other hand, my rental car from NU rentals had many issues, including a nail in the tire straight from the lot on our first day. Amy, our host, was generous enough to immediately aid us in getting the tire aired up. Thanks again Amy!
Excellent and cozy experience in this upscale treehouse. We enjoyed the hot tub and cozy home inside, too. Really made it a special weekend getaway for my husband & I.
This place is perfect! Everything was clean and well maintained, plenty of towels and linens and robes for the hot tub, which was wonderful, even on a cold evening looking out at the stars. The host responded quickly to any questions we had and even left a nice bottle of wine for us as a welcome gift! 10 Stars!
The 'treehouse' was the perfect location for our 3-day run at Red Rocks. Close to the park, easy to get to and from, and a welcome retreat after the shows. And what a unique and beautiful place. I hope to be back some day soon.
This is a great place to stay. Such a peaceful area and cute house. If we are back in the area for another concert at the Red Rocks will definitely stay here again. Highly recommend this house.

About the host
Hosted by Amy Freeman
We’re Amy and Zeke! Originally from Texas, we’ve called Colorado home for the past 20 years. Living in the mountains has been a dream, and we love sharing a little piece of it with others through hosting.
We spend as much time as we can outdoors—whether it’s hiking, biking, skiing, or just enjoying the fresh mountain air. Hosting gives us the chance to meet new people, share our love for Colorado, and help others experience the beauty and peace this area has to offer.
Our goal is to make your stay both relaxing and memorable. We look forward to welcoming you!
Why they chose this property
We chose Indian Hills 13 years ago and quickly fell in love with its small, tight-knit community. It’s the kind of place where neighbors look out for each other, and you can truly enjoy the quiet pace of mountain living.
What makes it extra special is the wildlife - elk, deer, foxes, and even the occasional bear wander through the area, reminding us daily of how close we are to nature. Combine that with the fresh mountain air and beautiful scenery, and it’s easy to see why we feel so lucky to call this home.
What makes this property unique
This isn’t just another rental, it’s a true treehouse experience. Built with creativity, craftsmanship, and a lot of love, it reflects both of our backgrounds: Amy as a realtor and artist, and Zeke as an architect with a construction background. Even our two teenage boys pitched in, making it a true family project.
The property itself carries a story. When we first moved to Indian Hills, our boys discovered an old treehouse tucked into the woods. We decided to leave the original structure leftovers in place as a nod to its history, and you can still see parts of it in the trees today. (You’ll notice a sign kindly asking guests not to climb it!) Instead of tearing it down, we built our new treehouse around it, giving the land a layered history of childhood adventures and family dreams.
And perhaps the most meaningful piece, this acre was one Amy had admired from the very beginning. She once told the neighbor, “If you ever sell, I’d love to buy it.” Years later, that day came, and we were able to make this dream a reality.
