About this property

Milano Style: Spacious 3-bedroom apartment in the heart of the historic center

This very bright and airy apartment has been in my family since the 50's. It is a home, not an investment property. I like to welcome guests like family friends, not a paying guests. In that spirit, when you first make contact with me please tell me about yourself, the people you are traveling with, and the nature of your trip. Come and enjoy my place as if it was your own home in Milan.

The apartment is on fifth floor of a modern elevator building with a doorman in service during the day (not on weekends). Both the building and the neighborhood are very safe. The area is called Magenta-Centro and it is a walking distance from all major tourist attractions: the Duomo (Milan's Gothic cathedral), is a 10-minute walk from the apartment. Leonardo's Last Supper is two short blocks away. The Castel of Milan is down the block. In the immediate vicinity of the apartment there are many cafes, bars and restaurants. I love the neighborhood and so will you. I promise!

Such a charming family home with fully equipped kitchen.Terrific location within easy walking distance (10-20 minutes) to major attractions -- La Scala, Duomo, Castle Sforza, Da Vinci's Last Supper, etc. Carrefours grocer around the corner, major bars & restaurants, historic churches and ,museums everywhere. Absolutely perfect.!

We had a great time and were very happy with the rental. I’ve been renting VRBOs for 20 years and I think Andrew was the best host we ever had. He answered every question, gave us great advice. It felt like we had a friend in Milan even though it was our first time visiting.What we liked most about the apartment was its great location and it’s size. We were a family of 4 traveling from Milan to Barcelona and it was very spacious. My kids like to have their own space for down time and this was perfect. The other great thing was that you could access the metros and go pretty much anywhere in the city very easily (pay and go is a great system). We went to mostly tourist spots to try to learn more about Milan and the culture. Some spots we visited included the Duomo, Last Supper Museum, local castle, even took canal ride and a cooking class (pasta/tiramsu) if you’re looking for fun things to do and all were easily accessible from the apartment.The apartment also has A/C which was great (it was a little warm in the day when we went). The showers were a little small but hot water worked fine.In sum, a very good experience for us we would go back again if we ever find ourselves again in Milan.

Our first time in Milan and we were lucky enough to find a great apartment with a great host with long term local knowledge. The location is perfect and the apartment is large with pleant of space.

Great Stay in Milan

We had a great time at Andrew’s place in Milan- what an amazing find for our family vacation. Plenty of space for everyone and right in the heart of Milan. Convenient to a main metro and train station and just a couple blocks from the castle. Great apartment in super location in Milan! We were an easy walk to the store, subway, restaurants, etc. We are a family of 6 and there was plenty of room to stretch out. Andrew is an amazing host. He is very communicative and cares about getting you settled in. The apartment is also a great place to stay in Milan. Andrew is a wonderful host. He is very responsive and accommodating. The apartment was perfect for us. The location is excellent, very close to both the Metro and tourist destinations. The apartment is spacious with very high ceilings. It contained everything we needed. A big thanks to Andrew!

wow - amazing location and wonderful apartment

the ideal location in a great building with everything going on all around it. fantastic host with A++ communication, tips on how to get from the airport, where to eat, things to do - like getting a travel agent and a time share all in one. the rooms on the street side will get noisy when the bars close and the streets fill with the weekend crowed stumbles home so have some earplugs handy, a small inconvenience but worth it to be in the heart of milan.

A travel agent? Wow, Michael, that’s a big compliment. Thank you. As for the noise…I hope you made good use of that strange Italian invention called “tapparelle”. They are rolled-down shades that seal off all outside light and noise 100%. I have them on every window in the apartment. You roll them down and sleep like a baby. Next time? 😜

I'm originally from Milan but have lived in New York for many years. This apartment has been in the family since it was built in 1950. For years it was used by my family. Now, it is my home a few weeks a year when I am in Milan. The rest of the time, I make it available for international visitors who prefer the more intimate experience of a home rather than a hotel.

Why they chose this property

You will be hard pressed to find a more central location in Milan, conveniently served by two subway lines, several busses and trams, and a direct link to Malpensa International Airport. The part of Milan that matters to international visitors is all at your feet, within walking distance from my apartment.

What makes this property unique

The apartment is in the historic center of the city. Yet, the building is modern; therefore, you are surrounded by the beauty of Milan's history while enjoying the convenience of a modern apartment. We grew up in this apartment as a family and you will have that wonderful sense that you are stepping into someone's home, not into an anonymous hotel room or an impersonal investment property. What matters to me is that you feel like a friend invited to stay in my apartment, not like a stranger whisked in and out.
