Please know that the property is a rural mountain unincorporated area. The sweeping views of the valley overlook a several thousand acre cattle ranch. While it provides lots of privacy on the property it also provides habitat to many native animals such as coyote, wild boar, bobcat, deer, squirrel and rattlesnake, We advise that you do not approach these animals if seen.
Often throughout the seasons the grazing animals can be seen on the lower fenced pasture. Either Lakota a young filly or Ike a pack mule can be seen and are great to capture in your photography as the sunsets. At times, Ike and Lakota are switched out and for cattle. We ask that you not approach these animals or feed them, just enjoy the view!
The stay does have a seasonal pool meaning the pool is usually ten degrees cooler than the outside temperature. The pool is exclusive to the booked guests, never shared. Inside the stay you will find Pool safety rules posted as well as in the guest binder.
Each house has its little thing about them and one is the front hot water heater which is ran from a solar panel can at times in the warm months gain heat, it is designed to let out some of the hot water and this happens at the north/west corner of the house. Please just let it flow and make sure you do not touch for the water is extremely hot at times.
Being a rural property in an unincorporated area, the property is self contained by having its own well and septic system. If you are not used to this it can be a little different than an incorporated are with city water and sewage systems. With a well the water pressure can fluctuate and with a septic system be very careful with what is flushed in the toilet, no diapers, paper towels, feminine products and such.
