About this property

Hilltop Nest — Sequoia and Kings National Park

Our hilltop nest is set on 5 acres with a great eastern view. Hiking can be done on the property while enjoying different nature views.
There is an outdoor seating area with a BBQ and amazing views. (There may be fire pit which is seasonal for when the hills are all green, but may vary from season to season. Feel free to inquire if it is available.) You can hang out, BBQ, play some music and relax while enjoying the views.
There is Bear Mountain Pizza, Dollar General, and Bear Mountain Auto less than 10 minutes away. On the way to the National Parks there are other places to stop and enjoy a meal, coffee, or convenient snacks.

It is about a 40 minute drive to the National Parks, Grant Grove Village, The Big Sequioa Trees and Trail, as well as Pine Flat Lake/dam and the Kings River. Cat Haven is about 20 minutes from the home.

There can be snow, however due to the elevation it does not last long, making the drive easy. The house is great for a family Thanksgiving or Christmas.

NOTE: The house is listed for 10 people, however up to 16 can stay for an additional charge of $25 per person per night after 10. Two of the bedrooms have queen beds and one has a bunk bed (twin bed over full size). There are also two queen air mattresses available for use.

Pets upon approval. Please tell us know the size and type of dog when inquiring or booking. We charge $25 per night due our superior cleaning. We usually only allow one pet. However please ask. That fee is $25 per night per pet. We have pets and we know they take extra cleaning after each stay. We strive to keep our nest top notch for each stay!
Your pet is under your care and control…you are responsible for any damages. PETS CANNOT BE LEFT UNATTENDED. Please keep them off the furniture and beds as that causes even more cleaning. We also understand accidents happen with new smells. Please let us know as we have a carpet cleaner. We only emphasize this to avoid any negative experiences for you and future guests.
*****NO PARTIES ALLOWED***** fees or end of tenancy will result for unapproved guests. We understand add-ons guests happen. UNAPPROVED Late check out is $100 per hour.

Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Please set both air conditioners to 79 degrees.
Please make sure any windows that were opened during your stay are closed and locked.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
No parties. Smoking only if necessary and only in designated outdoor cement area due to fire risks. Please do not discard any items onto the grounds.
Pet(s) upon approval $25 / night. Pet is under your care/control, you are responsible for any damages. Cannot be left unattended to avoid any issues.
Additional guests up to 16 people at an additional $25 per night per person. Early check in and/or check out upon approval.

Perfect location for exploring Sequoia with a grocery store really close by and also a great little Pizza restaurant. House was great and had everything we needed. The back enclosed porch is such a great place for starting the day with coffee and breakfast. The view out towards the back is just so peaceful and amazing!

Comfortable Place to Stay with a Great View

My family and I really enjoyed our stay here. The house was very clean, and comfortable for our stay. The back patio was a great place to relax at the end of the day, and the views from the house were fantastic. If I had to mention one negative, the toilet in the master bath is a bit small, but that's really splitting hairs. Thank you again for the great place to stay!

Home base near the parks

We had a wonderful 5 day stay at Hilltop Nest. Went to the parks every day for hiking or scenic drives. Corey is extremely responsive to any questions, and had equipped the house with everything we needed. Bonus visits from friendly cats next door!

Very nice

The house was very clean. The living room and game room were spacious. We enjoyed the pool table. All three bedrooms were also roomy. There is a screened patio on the back of the house with a view. Kitchen is fully stocked and there is a grill outside. The house is about a 40 min drive to Kings Canyon and Sequoia, where we spent 3 days driving back and forth. Owner is very responsive.

Fabulous Property

House was meticulous, roomy and overall a fantastic place to use as a home base for Sequoia and Kings Canyon parks and forests. Extremely pet friendly, including a fenced in area. Pool table was fun. Area is hot in the summer, but didn’t deter our activities. There are a few small gas station markets in the general area, so stock up on special items if you’re so inclined. Owner was very responsive. House is located on the top of a hill which provides beautiful views, awesome stargazing and lots of quiet! Highly recommend!
