This property was awesome, well-maintained, fully stocked and stylish. The beds were extremely comfortable and main living area was homely and inviting with a view over the main central square in Stratford. The only reason for 4 star overall (would have given 5) was the steep staircase up to the 2-3rd floor. Would recommend this to our friends.
Absolutely gorgeous place; responsive host and very central to everything. We also was able to use the stove. Amenities were perfect and I really hope to be able to come stay here again. All the linens were very clean and the beds were comfortable. Great to have fans in every room but also the floor-to-ceiling and all the cozy nooks and setup made the place absolutely fabulous to stay in!
This is a gorgeous property in an ideal location, thoughtfully outfitted with beautiful, high-quality furnishings and fittings throughout. The kitchen is equipped with real cooking supplies sufficient to cook a gourmet meal for guests, something quite rare in rental properties in my experience. Excellent taste in the design and renovation, tons of charm, and very comfortable. Easy access, silent purring efficient AC, good coffee and tea provided. We stayed for two nights with a friend so the two bedrooms, two bathrooms set-up provided tons of privacy and ample luxury for us all. This is a classy, groovy, totally comfortable apartment. Highest possible recommendation.
Once we climbed the winding staircase to the 3rd floor, we were amazed at the beautiful 2 bedroom/2 bathroom apartment with lots of light from the full windows and skylight. It was spacious and beautifully arranged with a full modern kitchen living space overlooking the town square. A great deal of care and attention has been put into this old building. Everything was so well appointed from the French press coffee maker to clothes hooks and handy outlets by the beds. Ceiling fans and air conditioners kept things cool on a warm September evening. Close to shops and restaurants, we couldn’t have been more pleased with the location. The email process was difficult as we were in the car in the way to Stratford and the town wifi is iffy, but the host was very quick to respond to our initial questions about access. The parking spot mentioned in the details is still forthcoming but a city parking lot is within a few blocks walk.We would stay here again knowing what a gem it is!
We extended our stay in Stratford and we're glad we did! The apartment reminded me of my favorite apartment in Grand Rapids Michigan, in the Heritage Hill district. The major difference being that this has been updated with great appliances, plumbing and decorating! The location is superb, across from the Avon and above a rock shop, with great positive energy! The only issue is the stairs to get to the place, which I had not noticed in the description. Make sure that you are physically mobile and that you pack a backpack. Our big suitcases were not stairs-friendly.Our host Brendan was very communicative and helpful. The air-conditioning was perfect, even with the hotter than normal weather. It was super quiet, yet right downtown. We would love to come back!
