Welcome to Poor Boys Hideaway, an updated beach retreat tucked into the heart of Pirates Beach in Galveston, where Gulf vibes and easy living go hand in hand. This spacious coastal getaway is made for friends & family trips, family reunions, or any crew looking to spend sunny days by the shore and relaxing evenings under the stars. With five comfortable bedrooms spread across two levels, there's plenty of room for everyone to stretch out and enjoy island time at its finest.

The main floor sets the stage for laid-back lounging and casual coastal style. The living room is bright and open, thanks to vaulted ceilings and a wall of windows that let in the natural light. Kick back for movie night, or gather around for morning coffee before heading out to the beach. The fully equipped kitchen features stainless steel appliances, lots of counter space, and a breakfast bar for quick bites or keeping the cook company. The dining area seats eight, perfect for family meals or late-night card games. Two queen bedrooms are also on this level, including the primary suite with deck access and a private bathroom. A second full bath, washer and dryer, and a partially covered deck round out the main floor, giving you everything you need to settle in and stay awhile.

Upstairs, you’ll find three more guest rooms designed with flexibility in mind. Another queen bedroom opens directly onto the covered upper deck, while two bunk rooms provide fun and functional sleeping space for kids or extra guests. One includes a pyramid bunk with a trundle and an additional twin bed (sleeps 4), and the other features two twin bunk sets with a trundle underneath (sleeps 6). Two full bathrooms on this floor help keep everyone on schedule – if you need one while on vacation!

On the ground level, the finished patio offers a spot to hang out in the shade, rinse off in the enclosed outdoor shower, and grab everything you need from the stash of beach gear before heading down to the water. With parking for four cars, central air and heat, ceiling fans throughout, and multiple TVs, Poor Boys Hideaway is set up for comfort and convenience from top to bottom.

LINENS & STARTER SUPPLIES KIT
We want to help get your trip off to an easy start, so you’ll find a set of starter supplies at your home when you arrive: a roll of toilet paper for each bathroom, dishwashing soap, and shampoo, conditioner, lotion and hand soap for the bathrooms. For longer vacations, please plan to bring your favorite brands with you.
Sheets & bath towels are included with every reservation. Housekeeping places freshly laundered linens in the home before every arrival and will collect any used linens after you depart.

On the West End, you’ll find miles and miles of beaches, birding sanctuaries, boat ramps, and great fishing spots (beaches, bay & canal) as well as restaurants, groceries, and convenience stores.

In-town attractions are an easy, short drive away – The Galveston Island Historic Pleasure Pier, Moody Gardens, Schlitterbahn Waterpark, Galveston Railroad Museum, Historic Downtown Galveston, the Tall Ship Elissa at Pier 23, and many others.
