First off the place was filthy.. I will try to post pics to illustrate.. second I got cold during the night.. there is no way to turn on the heat.. no thermostat to be found. There also was no blanket provided in the entire apartment. The filthy windows to not close all the way so the street noise is unbearable.. the amount of money being charged for this place is a complete ripoff.. I literally had to leave and get a hotel room at additional cost just to be able to sleep the next night. I reached out to the owner to tell him about my stay and he just ignored me.. I would stay away from this place
Great location to find food and fun places to eat and plenty of places for night life too. Super close walk to Kirkwood college stuff also. No matter where you park you have to pay to park which is a bummer but that is anywhere in Bloomington it seems.
The greatest part of our stay was that we could have our family on the rooftop for cocktails before we went out. It was a beautiful view and perfect weather. Also, we asked the owner if she could turn the air down for me (menopause) and she so kindly accommodated us. It was perfect!

Pictures need to be updated. The couch that is in the picture is not accurate. The back legs are broken off and it is resting on two by fours that are just thrown on the floor. There is not a table to set anything down on. The couch is completely unusable. One of the fans pictured also does not work. It just jumps around and makes a loud noise. The ceiling fan had dust about an inch thick on it. It was very dingy and dark. The host communicated very well, but this is not a place that I would describe as very clean. There was one glass to use for the two of us. So if you plan on staying there, bring your own glasses. The spiral staircase leading up to the outdoor space was very wobbly and seemed unsafe. If you plan to stay here, I would make sure I would get a good price for the value.

Check in was kind of a hassle but that was my fault. He gave good enough instructions, there was just a lot of them. The place is dirty. From the beer cans in the planter outside to the stairway to the studio. Culminating with chipping paint in the bathroom and dusty, no furry baseboards. The thermostat isn’t in your unit so you have to text the manager to adjust the temperature which he was quick to do but … Just pay a little extra and get a hotel room in town.

OK, look, we were dumb not to have booked a place earlier for what was sure to be a busy few days in Bloomington. There just weren't many options left in town. PROS: This rental has an excellent location that allowed us to walk where we needed to go. We were able to park the car in the garage just north for 0.50 per hour. The host was responsive when we were struggling with the keypad. The bed was comfortable.CONS: The rental has lots of maintenance issues. I could list them in some detail-- but, I already feel kinda guilty writing a crappy review. Construction materials stored in the unit. The area is pretty loud with the nearby clubs, traffic and foot traffic. Lack of lighting in the kitchenette area. Dustballs and drywall debris on the floor. ETCTo sum up: If you can get a hotel room, get one instead. If this is a "work in progress", then that should be clear in the listing.
