Beautifully decorated and clean right in downtown Floyd! Nice having 1.5 bathrooms and nice open space for relaxing. Especially nice touch having local provisions with coffee from Red Rooster and plants from the shop below. Only bit of warning is there are multiple flights of stairs to get to the apartment if traveling with those that do not manage stairs well. There is also no dedicated parking but plenty of public parking across the street. absolutely will stay again!
Could not ask for a better property to stay at. Kitchen fully stocked. Loved that you took an old building and refurbished it. Needed more than 2 washcloths for a three day stay but we made do. This is a quaint little town and we love coming there. Hope to return soon and will use you again.
I absolutely loved my stay from start to finish! Check in was a breeze. The apartment is gorgeous! Spacious, bright, super clean, super comfortable and has all the amenities listed for your convenience. The upper, corner location of the apt overlooks Floyds main intersection with a wonderful view of just how vibrant this small town is and the front windows have views of the mountains in the distance. Storefronts decorated for Christmas gave it an extra cozy feel. Hum of the cars during the day and silent at night. This apt is on the upper level which might be uncomfortable for someone with stair issues or ailments (or if you have an older dog), or with large heavy luggage. I was up & down countless times with no problem, and actually enjoyed the historic architecture and interesting photos along the way. If stairs are not your thing, I have also, previously stayed in the lower level apt. which is equally as beautiful and enjoyable to stay. Although parking is a short walk away, I felt secure leaving my truck out sight. I HIGHLY recommend a stay anywhere in this historic building and with these hosts. I am currently renovating a home in Floyd and I will definitely be staying here again until renovations are complete. I'd be very disappointed (might even cry, lol) if any of the apartments are not available. See you again soon Floyd!
I would have given this apartment a five star rating had it not been for difficult parking and difficulty getting to our room. We could not unload our luggage in front of the apartment because it’s on main street. We had to park behind the courthouse and walk a block to our room. After 3 trips with heavy luggage coolers and waiting for the crosswalk, we made it to the building. We gathered our luggage in the entryway. Then we had to climb 5 flights of stairs with our luggage! No elevator. I didn’t even see a fire escape plan. It was hard to enjoy this cute place because we knew how hard it was going to be lugging our coolers and luggage. We were exhausted. If you are the least bit immobile you should not stay here. Again the place was clean comfy and adorable. But it isn’t fit for older people. Hopefully they will figure something out.
