During the day you may see ducks waddling, bunny rabbits with small white tails scurrying, orange breasted birds frolicking and turtles meander across the lawn. Also, deer can be seen nibbling the grass and white swan(s), ospreys, ducks or seagulls flying around or swimming in Sag Harbor Cove.
Guests should feel free to use any of the various chairs, tables or benches situated on the front porch, the front lawn and the grounds.
Sag Harbor Cove is where my private beach behind the property is located for water access to sun-bathing, sculling, canoeing or fishing if you rent or buy the equipment from one of the specialty shops in the Village.
Bicycles can be locally rented and used to explore more of Sag Harbor and other surrounding areas not within walking distance.
Long Wharf beach, Long Beach and Haven’s Beach are 3 public beaches in relative close proximity to the house. Long Wharf beach is in the center of the Village of Sag Harbor within the 7 minutes walking distance from the house. However, the other two beaches are within a comfortable bicycling distance from the house rather than by car. One would need a car’s parking pass obtained from Sag Harbor’s municipal building to be able to take one’s car to the beach for beach parking. Only a limited number of car parking passes are available in the Village per season.
Guests can always text, email or call me with any questions, concerns or just for places to go and/or visit during or after their stay.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner can be obtained from the Cove Deli which is just across the street from the house/apartment.
Sag Harbor is a vibrant year-round village with plenty of activities both cultural and family oriented alike. There is a performing arts theater, gyms and spas, yoga studios, art exhibits, festivals and parades which occur throughout the year. There is also a variety of antique, clothing and novelty shops as well as many restaurants, bars and beaches.
Sag Harbor can be reached in 2 hours by car from New York City, the Hampton Jitney or the Long Island Rail Road. The Hampton Jitney stops in the center of the Village of Sag Harbor. The Long Island Rail Road’s Bridgehampton station is 15 minutes to and from the Apartment by taxi or car.
If you have a car or rent one, there is plenty of parking available on the street along the property.

Lower level of an older house. Enjoyed watching the sunsets over the cove from the small screened in porch. Did have to clean off the porch furniture but it was pollen season after all. A minor issue with the heat but the owners resolved it quickly. Overall a perfectly nice stay.
Charming 'cottage' full of incredible antiques with all necessary modern appliances
Cozy, comfortable and quiet, this absolutely charming 'cottage / luxury home' has incredible views of the water. The manager was very respectful of our privacy.
Short stay yet felt like a month. Cozy and charming space.
My daughter and her husband had just a small window to pull away from work. Our off season stay was restful and relaxing and Paris was both warm and welcoming. Thanks for sharing your home with us!
My boyfriend (now fiancé!) stayed here for 2 nights. The house was warm and cozy and had really nice energy. Our host was a great communicator and he greeted us as we pulled up. The house had everything we needed. It was within walking distance of Sag Harbor’s quaint downtown. The views from the house were picturesque, particularly at sunset. We got engaged on this trip and this was the perfect place to do it! Will definitely visit again. Thank you!
Stay was fine. Place is quaint and well located. Only bedrooms were air conditioned ( July 15 &very hot outside) master bed is small ( double?) Pillows could use a refresh.

Karen, her husband and adult son’s stay in my home was for 3 nights.
At once on her arrival, I was asked about central cooling and explained that as shown in our pictures, there is no central cooling in this 300-year-old historic house. There are air-conditioners only in the 2 bedrooms.
I had communicated to Karen on arrival, if there are any issues or anything she needed to feel free to call, text or email me since I am available on-site in the house in my own private apartment. Since the house is waterfront, there is always a cool breeze that flows through the house. Karen and her family closed all of the windows and left the 2 air-conditioners on with the bedroom doors open. Had she left open the windows that were left open, then the apartment would have been cool. At night with the air-conditioners on, the bedrooms would be cold and more than comfortable if left on and the bedroom doors left closed.
This is the first complaint about my pillows in my VRBO hosting. The master bedroom as advertised is a large bedroom, in the front of the house (and is in the original front parlor). It has a queen-size bed in it. The smaller bedroom has a double-size bed in it.
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Paris's incredible home, and I cannot say enough positive things about my experience. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that this would be a fantastic stay. - First and foremost, the home itself is absolutely beautiful. Every detail has been thoughtfully considered. The space was spotless and inviting, making it easy to feel right at home; what set this stay apart was Paris. He ensured that I had everything I needed, was incredibly responsive, and provided excellent recommendations for things to do and places to eat; he made me feel welcome from the start and was always available to answer any questions or provide assistance.
I cannot wait to stay here again!
We couldn’t wait to return Paris and Clifton are the ultimate hosts...there if you need them ASAP and also just completely welcoming and charming. We love the feel of a house and the view of the water and sunset from the kitchen and living room. The farmhouse table and outdoor table for eating or just relaxing. The decor is elegant and simple. And being able to bring my dog who loved the view of the rabbits and the short walk to town. Also great bookstore one house away and a little deli for any last minute stuff. I got to see the cottage too and that’s just as lovely. It gets harder to leave each time!
Thank you, Paris and Clifton!!!
My elderly mother, my two cats (who have never traveled), and I all had such a relaxing, refreshing, and incredible experience thanks to Paris and Clifton’s attentiveness to detail and welcoming spirit. The house was more than expected when we arrived. The photos on here are fantastic and thorough, but they don’t really show how close to the water you are which was the best surprise! The view, particularly from the screened sunroom, kitchen, and deck, is breathtakingly serene. It, along with the beautiful, historic home filled with so many charming antiques and interesting details, matched with Paris’ warm welcome and telling us of the history of the home all immediately immerse you in the spirit of Sag Harbor. We had only traveled one hour east to come here, but it felt like we had been transported hundreds of miles away. And the best part was that the 2 cats also loved it! They specifically enjoyed the screened sunroom. It was such a relief to be able to bring them with us and Paris and Clifton were so easygoing and inviting towards them and us which enabled us to truly relax. I did make sure to “cat proof” the home when we arrived (I brought my own bedding, put away anything I thought they could break, and covered any upholstered furniture with throw blankets), but that was all my doing as I wanted to be a considerate guest, having brought my pets with me.
I really can’t say enough good things about this home. The location is ideal. It’s right on the cove with a large piece of beautiful property and still only a few minutes from all the shops and restaurants down on Main Street in Sag Harbor. We had only two days of sunshine while there and two cloudy days, but the sunsets on the water on the sunny days were unmatched to any I’ve ever seen and we enjoyed them directly from the screened sunroom in our beyond immaculate and spacious apartment. This place is perfect for any person of any age (my mother has a slightly hard time walking and the very few steps she had to navigate were not a problem, which was a big relief)! It was stocked with just about any item you can imagine, especially the gorgeous kitchen, and the attention to the small details - even the antique toilet paper holder and the fantastic smelling sachet bag in the bedroom closet - made this place a warm, gorgeous, and very comfortable place to stay, all thanks to Paris and Clifton. I would stay here again, no question, and you should as well!
GREAT location in Sag Harbor - walking distance to everything in the village, while providing the quiet and waterfront views of a great escape. The host welcomes you personally with a wonderful story of the history of this old captain's house. While restaurants are within a 10 minute walk, there is also shopping if you want to stock up the fridge and hang out close to the property. The beds are comfy and the cable works. Nature close by - saw 3 deer on an early Sunday walk. Great alternative to the hotels in the village, we were so happy we chose this option.
We adored staying here. Large apartment, immaculately clean, simple and charming decor located a few blocks away from downtown. Perfect for an evening walk to and from any of the great restaurants on Main Street. Bedding was immaculately fresh and clean, an important factor for me. View of the water is beautiful with a cup of coffee in the morning and a glass of wine at night. My husband and I and our two pups felt entirely comfortable and can't wait to return. Paris was a lovely host!
This property and the host was absolutely one of our best ever! We have been to Sag Harbor multiple times but this was our first stay with Paris. It could not have been more perfect. The charm of the furnishings and the property itself with the new updated amenities were amazing. The house itself is out of a magazine with the furnishings, the views, and the charm all unmatched anywhere else. The location could not be better, and the entire experience will make us return again soon!!
We found our time in Sag Harbor delightful. The house was charming and very clean with a beautiful view of the water. It was very convenient to town and we walked in every morning for coffee and breakfast. The neighborhoods were also fun to walk through. Our host was very informative, helpful and available. The only downside is that we could her very easily the people above us moving around late into the evening but otherwise everything else was great
We had such a wonderful stay at Paris and Clifton's property. They were very accommodating and the house was beautiful and only a short walk into town. We hope to return soon!
The apartment is comfortable for the body and a pleasure to the eye. Ending the day with a cocktail on the deck as the sun set was always a treat. As a runner, putting together a 6 -8 mile route in the neighborhood was easy and safe from traffic...beautiful water views and historic houses abound. Paris and Clifton are attentive owners.
Paris was great to work with and his place is lovely. Right on the water and a short walk to town. We had a great time and would definitely stay again.
This might be our 8th visit to this beautiful home since 2017 and this house is our peaceful respite amidst this chaotic world. The sunsets are to die for and the property is exquisite and so comfortable. The hosts are beautiful people and we adore them so much, so kind and helpful, always with a genuine smile. My mother says they feel like family. We will definitely be back again soon for another stay at what has become our family peaceful getaway sanctuary :)
Great Sag Harbor location for get away short stay.
Paris and Clifton are gracious hosts of this well located property that combines its proximity to town with the tranquil setting and views. The perfect summer stay involves simple meal preps in a gorgeous kitchen to enjoying bouillabaisse at a local restaurant the Bell and Anchor. Always pick up wine in the area at Channings Daughters and take in a beach day at Cooper's Beach. Catch a wonderful touring act at Stephen Talkhouse and produce at a local farmer's market among other highlights.
It may be missing some of the creature comforts like central air, but what it lacks it modern amenities, it more than makes up for in charm. The property is filled with cool antiques and the location really couldn’t be beat. Just a few minutes walk to shops and restaurants - and on that spectacular pond! We loved it and would totally return. The beds were a bit firm for our liking, but again, we just chalked it up to the experience. Owners were very welcoming and helpful.
My (83) year old mother and I and my small dog escaped covid nyc and rented the downstairs apartment. It felt like we were guests in someone’s wonderful tastefully decorated old (in a good way) house. Communication was great. Everything felt clean and safe. And having a nice kitchen with a farmhouse table overlooking the inlet at sunset—wow. It’s a nothing walk to town too. And having the screened in porch, washer/dryer, two bedrooms, we just enjoyed relaxing at the house. We even booked the only 4 days available this summer to return in 3 weeks. Nice too that the hosts are near and respond quickly to texts. We can’t wait to go back!
