The space Some houses are places to sleep. Soluna is a place to exhale.
Named for the Spanish words for sun and moon *sol* and *luna* this home was designed to be beautiful at every hour. Morning light filters through plantation shutters into a chef's kitchen built for real cooking. Evenings belong to a wood-burning fireplace, candlelight, and a soaking tub with its own television. Whatever pace you arrive with, Soluna will slow it down.
Centrally located between Los Angeles and Orange County, ten minutes from the beach, and styled with the kind of intentional detail that makes guests extend their stays.
**The Kitchen …Where Stays Become Experiences**
The fully equipped chef's kitchen features a Sub-Zero side-by-side refrigerator, professional gas cooktop with a statement hood, double wall ovens, and a center island with bar seating. White shaker cabinetry, subway tile, dark quartz countertops, and hardwood floors give it the feel of a kitchen you'd actually want to cook in. And you can … it comes stocked with an air fryer, blender, food processor, toaster, rice cooker, and everything in between. The open dining area seats the whole group with views straight to the garden.
**The Living Room … Fireplace, Firelight, and a Chandelier**
The front living room anchors the home with a dramatic dark slate fireplace framed by a wall-mounted flat screen and crowned by a sparkling crystal chandelier. Sink into the sectional, light the fire, and feel the room do exactly what it was designed to do. Leather accent chairs add a touch of sophistication without losing the warmth. This is the room that makes people say they didn't want to leave.
**The Master Suite ….A Private Spa With a Bedroom Attached**
The primary suite begins in the bedroom…king bed, soft neutral tones, plantation shutters, recessed lighting, crown molding, and a ceiling fan chandelier that somehow manages to feel both beachy and glamorous. But the real story is what lies beyond the bedroom door.
The master bathroom is unlike anything guests expect. It is one of the largest private bathrooms you will find outside of a five-star hotel. Rain head and wall-mounted dual shower system over a pebble-floor walk-in shower with a teak bench .., the kind you step into and forget what day it is. Then there is the soaking tub. Set into a concrete surround, flanked by candlelight, with a wall-mounted television above it and a crystal globe chandelier overhead. Draw a bath, turn on the TV, and stay until the water cools.
**Three Downstairs Bedrooms …Each Its Own World**
The three queen bedrooms downstairs each have their own personality. One is bright and airy, white furniture, mirrored closet, a plush shag rug, and soft layered bedding. One is warm and cozy with a golden palette and natural light pouring through plantation shutters. The third is a relaxed and casual beach vibe…. All three rooms have a wall-mounted TV, ceiling fan, hardwood floors. All three share a beautifully tiled bathroom with a tub and shower combination.
**The Second Gathering Space …For When the Group Wants to Spread Out**
A generous second living area with a large sectional sofa opens directly to the backyard through sliding glass doors. This is where the group ends up after dinner, where movie nights happen, where someone always falls asleep first. It flows seamlessly into the kitchen so nobody has to miss the conversation.
**Two Private Outdoor Spaces Solitude and Socializing, Your Choice**
The backyard is a fully enclosed private retreat lined with lush tropical plants, mature fruit trees, and a perfectly maintained lawn. A large concrete patio holds a wicker outdoor dining set for six, a BBQ grill, an outdoor heater, and a fire pit. It is the kind of backyard that turns a weekend trip into something people talk about after. The side yard offers a quieter escape a shaded green lawn with bench seating, completely private from the street, perfect for morning coffee or an afternoon with a book.
**The Details That Matter** - Central AC and heat throughout - High-speed WiFi - In-home washer and dryer (LG stacked units) - Plenty of fresh linens and towels - Fully stocked kitchen - Indoor and outdoor dining

About the host
Hosted by TAMURA
I’m an educator, designer, and longtime Long Beach local who genuinely enjoys creating spaces that help people feel comfortable, welcomed, and cared for. I’ve put a lot of thought into Soluna because I believe where you stay shapes your entire experience. I enjoy thoughtful design, gardening, good food, and creating environments that feel both beautiful and easy to live in. Hosting has become a way to combine all of those things while sharing a little piece of Long Beach with others. My goal is simple: I want your stay to feel relaxing, seamless, and memorable. Whether you’re here visiting family, working, exploring Southern California, or just taking a break, I hope this home gives you space to slow down, reconnect, and enjoy yourself. I’ve tried to think through the little details so you can spend less time figuring things out and more time enjoying your stay.
Why they chose this property
I chose this neighborhood because it feels like the “real” Long Beach, the part visitors usually miss. You get the benefit of being close to everything without feeling like you’re in the middle of crowds, traffic, or tourist zones. It’s quiet, residential, tree-lined, and genuinely relaxing after a day out, which is surprisingly rare in Southern California. The area has a neighborhood feel with larger homes, mature trees, and a slower pace, while still being incredibly central. What I love most is that you can experience Long Beach like a local. A few insider favorites: skip the busiest beach crowds and head to Horny Corner or Mother’s Beach in Naples if you want calmer water and a more local vibe. Take an evening walk through Naples Island at sunset, especially when the canal lights start reflecting on the water. If you enjoy coffee or slow mornings, locals tend to gravitate toward neighborhood spots and outdoor patios rather than chains. For food, one of the best things about staying here is that you’re positioned between several different Long Beach personalities. Belmont Shore gives you a walkable “date night” atmosphere with restaurants and shops, but many locals will tell you the hidden gems are the smaller places scattered throughout the city, especially Cambodian and Thai food, which Long Beach is quietly famous for. Reddit locals consistently point visitors toward neighborhood gems over tourist-heavy spots. Another thing I love: you’re in one of the easiest launch points for exploring Southern California. Disneyland, Orange County beaches, downtown LA, and coastal towns are all realistic day trips, but at the end of the day you come back to somewhere calm and easy to park, not downtown noise or beach congestion. My favorite part, though, is the balance. You can have a full Southern California experience and still come home to somewhere that feels peaceful enough to actually rest.
What makes this property unique
Soluna offers something increasingly rare in Southern California: space, privacy, and calm without sacrificing location. The home combines a chef’s kitchen, multiple gathering spaces, curated bedrooms, private garden views, and indoor-outdoor living in a way that feels intentionally designed rather than simply furnished. From the fireplace and soaking tub to the tropical backyard and moonlit garden views, the experience is meant to feel memorable, restorative, and distinctly Long Beach.
