Just a few minutes from the downtown shopping of Main Street, you will find a historic lodging that has been completely renovated. Abby’s Place was originally built in late 1880’s and expanded in the 1920's. It is spacious and offers separate living and sleeping areas. The bedrooms are furnished with gorgeous bed décor, antiques and furnishings. One bedroom has a king. One has a queen. Each bedroom has a bathroom that is accessed through the bedroom. Each living rooms have a sofa sleeper, a seating area with a coffee pot, and a small refrigerator with a freezer. The two suites are adjoined so while they are separate there is a potential for noise to travel through the common wall between the two suites. Conveniently located for activities and festivals in Fredericksburg but also central to other Hill Counrty events, such as hiking, cycling, horse racing, car shows and more! For local events, see www.visitfredericksburgtx.com/events. For nearby hiking at Enchanted Rock, see https://tpwd.texas.gov/state-parks/enchanted-rock. For list of local cycling, see http://www.hillcountrybicycle.com/Local_Events.html We do not offer breakfast on premise. Instead, we follow the current practices of most BnB's in Fredericksburg and provide coffee, tea, water and snacks (including breakfast pasteries) in each suite.

Truly enjoyed staying here, very homie and comfortable and extremely short drive to all of the shops downtown. Owners are amazing and easy to get a hold of.

We are so glad you all enjoyed your stay with us at Abby’s Place. Thanks for taking such good care of everything and we hope to see you all again. Ted and Leah
This was a great place to stay in the hill country. I’ve stayed at 4 different accommodations in the area and this was my favorite in so many ways. The attention to details is what set this one apart from all the rest. Location is great too!

We are so glad you and your group enjoyed your stay at Abby’s Place. We enjoyed hosting y’all and appreciate the way you took care of everything. Please come see us again. Ted and Leah.
This was a cute place and I would definitely stay again! We did feel like it was going to be closer to downtown and walking distance. But we had no problems with taking Uber and a couple of times we did the long walk.
We loved our weekend stay at Abby’s Place. We began with suites 1&2, but grew into suite 3 as well. What a charming and large space. We loved the decor and the beds were comfortable. The owners were very responsive to any questions. Everything you hope for in a VRBO stay. Charming, unique, comfortable and spacious. We will definitely be back!
We thought it was closer to all the shops (walking distance), but we should have researched more thoroughly. The only thing we would have like to have seen in either suite 1 or 2, would have been a sink other than just the bathroom sinks for filling coffee pot.

Thank yo so much for staying with us. We have 3 other suites that have full kitchens. Please come see us again. Ted and Leah
This house was great for two couples. The parking was great and it’s a great location to the wineries. The only thing that was a little issue was I didn’t realize there wasn’t a kitchen. The apt size fridge and microwave were adequate but we are big coffee drinkers and no kitchen sink was a bit of a problem. Other than that we really enjoyed staying there.

So glad you all enjoyed your stay at Abby’s Place. Thanks for taking good care of it. Please come back and see us again. Ted and Leah
Overall it was good.
The coffee pot on the closed in porch took almost an hour to brew a pot. May just need to be descaled.
Quality of pasteries was disappointing.
Felt a bit ‘“exposed” when using the back “porch” to make coffee etc.
Consider some extra hooks in the bathroom for hanging up towels.
Also bedside table lamp for reading in bed

My family and I enjoyed our 2 night stay at this cute and charming property. The beds were comfortable and the owner was very responsive. The location is a short drive from all the central Fredericksburg activities and right off the road to the wineries!

We are so glad you all enjoyed bringing in your New Years with us at Abby’s Place. Thanks for taking such good care of our place. Ted and Leah
We rented Suite 1 & 2, and each had an independent bedroom and living room. The suite had plenty of top-quality linens and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. WiFi was stable and had good speeds(200+MB/s Down & 30+MB/s Up).

We appreciate you all taking such good care of our place. Your kind words are truly appreciated and we hope to see you back again. Ted and Leah.
This place was perfect for two couples. We were able to socialize and then retreat to our own private rooms. It wasn't too far from downtown... definitely not walking distance but a short drive!

Hey, I am Ted!
Why they chose this property
My wife Leah and I have fallen in love with Fredericksburg and our Abby's Place! The orginal rock house was built in the 1880s and expanded in 1920s. This is part of a larger complex that was expanded in the 1990s on an acres. Lots of charm and comfort to start with and then we had such fun lovingly furnishing and decorating each of the 5 units with a different theme that seemed fitting. The whole complex has 5 bedrooms (2 kings and 3 queens) with 5 bathrooms and 5 separate living rooms, each with a sofa sleeper. Although this property is adjacent, you will your privacy and quiet. We have listings that allow you to stay in 1 suite or to rent several together for your group to enjoy time together. Look for our other listings! The whole complex sits on an acre with plenty of space to sit outside at night by the fire and gaze at the Texas stars!
What makes this property unique
Abby’s Place is conveniently located in town near the heart of the shopping and one block off of Main Street but it sits on an entire acre of land with a windmill! We love sitting outside at night and looking at the stars. We are amazed at how many stars you can see in the sky even though you are in town. The trees provide shade during the day. Short hop to restaurants and shops.
