Welcome to Butterfly Bungalow, a peaceful woodland retreat in the Berkshires. Nestled among native perennials and whispering pines, this cozy hideaway offers two magical spaces, a cozy cabin and fairy-lit studio, under the canopy of trees and stars. Whether you're looking for a romantic weekend, a solo retreat, or a peaceful base to explore the Berkshires’ natural beauty, Butterfly Bungalow is your perfect haven. Come slow down, reconnect, and feel the magic.

The Studio (separate from the cabin):
This airy space has a queen bed, high ceilings, and a flexible open layout, perfect as a private bedroom, living space, or creative gathering area. Outside, enjoy a private deck with patio furniture and solar-powered lights for magical evenings. The studio does not have an attached bathroom. Please use the flashlights provided next to the front door (on the right) to follow the beautiful solar-lit path to the right of the main cabin. This path leads around to the back door, where you can access the bathroom. You may also enter through the main cabin’s front door if you prefer.

Both spaces are nestled into lush plantings and natural surroundings, creating an enchanting backdrop for your stay. Whether you’re planning a romantic weekend, a solo retreat, or a peaceful getaway with loved ones, Butterfly Bungalow offers a unique and restful home base.

Why they chose this property

I’ve lived in the Berkshires for 46 years, and while I enjoy the hustle and bustle of the more centrally located towns, it’s truly a blessing to return to the quiet and ease of the smaller hill towns. They offer a sweet, distinct ambience that’s hard to find elsewhere. Otis, in particular, is full of hidden gems (be sure to check out the guest guide!) that offer everything, and more, than you might expect to find "downtown."

What makes this property unique

There is something magical about this cabin, the studio, and the nature that surrounds them. Sitting outside, listening to the birds and the stream that runs alongside the property, gazing at the stars at night, it's all enchanting. The soft carpet of moss and oregano, the wildflowers, bees, butterflies, and fireflies create a peaceful and truly magical place to simply be.
