Best Beach Experience

Our family of four and our two pups felt right at home. We spent our days lounging by the pool, soaking in the hot tub, and relaxing on the porch and deck. The dogs especially loved the spacious yard and curling up inside. With plenty of room to spread out, we were able to cook meals, get some work done during the day, and enjoy peaceful walks along the beach every morning and evening—it’s just a short stroll down the street. The house was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. We’ll definitely be booking again.

Amazing home

The environment of the house was very tranquil and relaxing. Beautifully decorated. The right amount of furniture and not crowded at all. Quiet neighborhood and friendly people. Pool was amazing, perfect temperature, not too deep and not too shallow, very clean. Loved the games from the paddle ball to corn hole to the arcade games. Comfortable beds and oversized couch with chaise. Very spacious. Had 2 dogs and they loved the upper deck where they enjoyed napping in the late afternoon or watching the birds. The cabana was a nice addition poolside. Outside shower was perfect temperature. Very close to the beach, a very short walk from the house. My family and I definitely want to come back here again. It was a fantastic vacation, this home is awesome!

Awesome, Relaxing Place -- Will Likely Be Back

We stayed a week at another house up the coast, and decided to book this one for 5 days on a whim to avoid the traffic on turn days (cool Vacasa perk)... which was a great decision in hindsight, both because this house is very nice and because the trip back up north was a breeze on a Thursday. The house is well furnished and the poolhouse is a nice little touch. Modern / big TVs throughout. It was very hot on our trip and the pool doesn't have much shade, so it occasionally felt like a luke-warm bath in the afternoon, but was better than the heat. Hot tub had super-powerful jets, which were great. One small warning / negative: the house itself is located pretty well off the road and felt private, BUT the driveway is located very close to one of the few stoplights on the main strip. On the weekends, you have a lot of people trying to take shortcuts that cause very long / annoying traffic jams on the road in/out (I'm not talking about the standard turn-day traffic, I mean it's in one of the most difficult spots IN that turn-day traffic). Just trying to turn into the house directly in front of the driveway took several minutes once we were there and meant we were holding people up beyond us even more as we waited for traffic to move. This is only a problem on weekends and I would not at all consider it a deal-breaker.

A time was had!

My family and I had an amazing time at the Alpaca Bag home. We have stayed in several homes on the obx island and this was by far our favorite. The beach was maybe a 5 min walk and the private parking option was also very convenient. The beach entrances had concrete walkways for easy beach access. The location is great. We took a dolphin tour in Wanchese (30min away) and a horse tour the next day in Corolla (30 min away). Kitty Hawk activities and restaurants are not far at all. We really enjoyed dinner at Aqua which is right up the street from the house heading into Duck. It was a bit pricey but omg! Incredible every time we went! The house has everything you could possibly need to have a great time in obx. We stayed for a week and couldn’t get in the ocean once. The jellyfish took over the entire island coastline, so the pool was a life saver especially for the littles. Deer would walk by the pools fence line in the mornings and evenings. The shed/pool house was great also. We kept snacks and drinks in the fridge so we didn’t have to go all the way back into the house for anything. It was so convenient. The homeowner left us with a thank you gift which was very kind. The owner is very kind and went above and beyond to ensure my family and I were comfortable. I would definitely love to get this home again. A time was had.
