The Gulf is directly across the street from Runaway Bay 250 — and the lighted crosswalk makes the trip safe for families with young kids at any hour. This is a northern Bradenton Beach vacation rental where the beach is genuinely close, the complex amenities are the strongest in the portfolio, and guests have been coming back year after year — some for over a decade.

The complex delivers more than most: a large pool, pickleball courts, a fishing dock, BBQ grilling stations, and a workout room. The free island trolley stops right at the entrance — guests consistently report not needing their car for the entire stay. Bridge Street's restaurants and shops are nearby for evenings off the property.

The condo comes ready for the beach. A beach wagon, chairs, and towels are provided. Floats, noodles, toys, and additional gear are available. Games and cards for rainy days are inside. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything needed for a week of proper cooking — one guest made Christmas dinner here and noted it had nearly every item they needed. The private balcony is surrounded by lush tropical landscaping with muted waterway views — the right spot for morning coffee.

Two bedrooms sleep five. The primary suite has a king bed. The second bedroom has a queen bed and a twin bed. Two full bathrooms, both with walk-in showers. A full-size washer and dryer in the unit. High-speed WiFi throughout.

Runaway Bay 250 requires a one-week minimum stay with parking for two vehicles. Not pet-friendly.

Clean, updated comfortable furniture. A well stocked kitchen with everything you need. We prefer coffee pot over Kuerig, so agency got us one.

Best stay on the island!

We have stayed many times on the island but this was by far our favorite! The location was perfect for us and the condo was above expectations! We had a couple of questions before we arrived and the owners were quick to respond and super helpful. When we arrived, we found a condo full of everything we needed. There was plenty of beach chairs, fishing buckets, beach toys, balls & a wagon to pull it all. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook all week. Also worth noting everything was good quality, not flimsy as found in other rentals. The coffee machine is a keurig for planning purposes. The sitting area and bedrooms were spacious. The outdoor area was peaceful. We would have liked to use it more but it was so hot! The beach was about a 5 minute walk with public access right across the street from the complex. We used the pool & pickle ball court too. The fishing dock was neat to watch the birds & other wildlife at all hours of the day. I would highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to visit the island! We hope to return back next year!

We had a great week here at Runaway Bay. The location is wonderful - across from Bradenton Beach. Host provided lots of beach gear, which we used and enjoyed. We had all that we needed to cook meals in the kitchen and the beds were comfortable, which we appreciated. the view of the bay was beautiful. The only thing I would improve is to have more necessary staples like laundry detergent, a few cleaning supplies, and cooking oil/spices. We had a sick child our first night who threw up and had no way to wash clothes or even do a very thorough clean up because there was no laundry supplies or cleaning supplies besides paper towels and dish soap. So plan ahead to have that on hand.

Cute and comfortable condo

The location was superb and it was nicely updated. A little disappointed with the lanai - very small and a bit smelly due to the mangroves. Other than that, it hit all of the desires for a rental.

Reviewer Comments: We stayed in runaway the 3 weeks before, and had to find another condo in the same complex, luckily we found 250. We felt at home straight away it had the feel of living in the jungle with the view on the patio backing onto the river, with palm trees beautiful plants and trees for privacy. We enjoyed several of the events they has planned within the complex.The pancake breakfast was yummy. We also loved how close it was to town, the beach the bus stop. The pool area was great 👍. Last but not least you can’t forget to mention the gorgeous sunsets 🌅.
