Bird of Paradise Beachfront Cottages- Golden Chalice

"Bird of Paradise Beachfront Cottages" are "a new way to vacation", bringing all the amenities of home to your own private beachfront oasis. Enjoy sleeping on a king size bed and lifting your head up to see pristine ocean staring back at you. Save $$$ and cook your own meals in our fully stocked kitchen including electric range, numerous utensils, and cookwares. You can even choose where to bath, either inside or alfresco in the ocean side shower. Cool off and Take a dip in the custom made tear drop infinity edge pool over looking the beach. If you've had to much sun and the air conditioning is more your speed feel free to lounge on the couch and watch some TV on our flat screen. Staying at Golden Chalice means you enjoy panoramic views of the turquoise blue Atlantic Ocean and tinted pink sand beach by day and outrageous sunsets and star gazing by night.

**Keep in mind that our neighbors Tippy's close for a period of time in September and October. Please call them for details. Tippy's is also next door to our Purple Papaya cottage, therefore you may hear some island vibes and tunes while outside, (this is of course out of our control).**

**Please also keep in mind that Eleuthera is a secluded island, therefore at times the island may shut off the water, internet or electricity. Water pressure can be low as well, but this is all due to being on a secluded island, so please be patient with us. Any of this issues will not result in the guest getting compensated since this is out of our control**

Wonderful Week in Paradise

What a fantastic week in Eleuthera at the Golden Chalice house. The sounds of the waves crashing as you wake up and walking to Tippys for lunch and dinner make this house spectacular. The house is wonderful, great colors and everything you need for a week in paradise. We loved the beach and pool and exploring other beaches on the island. We would definitely rent this house again. Perfect vacation in paradise

The cottage is exactly as described in the listing. The view was even better in person. The beach right outside the cottage was one of our favorites (we drove to several beaches all over the island). The bed was ver comfortable. Great central location - took one day and explored the north part of the island (Queen’s bath, Preacher’s Cave, Sapphire Hole, and beaches along the way). Took another day and explored the southern part of the island (Lighthouse Beach, Tarpum Bay, Ocean Hole, Cathedral Cave, etc).

Amazing Peaceful Cottage on one of the most Beautiful beaches on the Island.

My wife and I just returned from our trip to Eleuthera (8/10/2018-8/14/2018) and we had the most relaxing and peaceful vacation we have ever had. There are no words to be able to describe the beauty of the island, the beach and how perfect this cottage is. Sitting directly on one of the best beaches with white powdery sand. You wake up the sound of waves crashing and a great view. The splash pool as a great touch to be able to cool off after swimming in the beach and getting sun on the sand. We are planning our next visit as I type this.

Smack on the beach

This little yellow house could not be situated any closer to some of the most beautiful water you will ever see. We enjoyed having breakfast each morning on the deck overlooking the beach. It was a bit windy most of our stay except for two out of five days which were the perfect days to snorkel out front of Tippy’s next door. The pool area and outdoor shower are a nice features although the pool was too chilly for me to handle venturing in. My husband used it a few times. The home has all you need, is clean, modern and well appointed. We cooked breakfast in every day which was a nice convenient option and helped saved money as the food in Eleuthera is extremely expensive. If you’re looking for a VERY quiet island with friendly locals, this is the perfect place to enjoy it from. We could not have asked for a better location.

My husband and I were looking for a peaceful place to get away from the grind, and Golden Chalice checked all of the boxes. The beach was steps away, and what a beach. Beautiful, pristine pink sand and crystal clear water. There is even snorkeling gear you can use to see the beautiful fish. A manta ray came up behind me on our first day. Beautiful. You also have a great plunge pool with infinity edge overlooking the beach. We ended every evening overlooking the beautiful beach with a Kalik and glass of wine in the plunge pool. Tippy's is right next door, great little island restaurant, fun environment, live music on Saturday nights. They only serve lunch and dinner, and they are closed Mondays so you will probably need a car at least a few days of your stay. You will need some breakfast items and of course, Kalik and wine :). The guest directory has recommendations for car rental places and grocery stores. Aside from Tippy's, we ate mostly at 1648, we thought the food and service were excellent. Joe sent us an email before our arrival with all of the info needed, and Rhonda was very friendly, always available and checked in on us a few times. The house has everything you could ever think of, and when you open the curtains to that beautiful view, you swear you have gone to heaven. If you are looking for a peaceful place to unwind and relax, look no further. We will be back!

Paradise

We loved our stay in the little yellow cottage. The cottage is exactly as pictured, but the pictures don’t give you a sense of how SOFT the sand is. The beach directly in front of the cottage is so clean and empty, and the sand feels like flour, its gorgeous. You can walk for miles in either direction, and we only saw 2-3 people. The cottage has everything you need including great AC, beach towels, beach umbrella, and snorkeling gear. We bought groceries and made most of our meals and ate on the patio over looking the ocean. The kitchen has everything you need, including a dishwasher. We walked 1 minute to Tippy’s for dinner one night, yes, its expensive but the food was good and love music great atmosphere. I would definitely recommend renting a car and driving to French Leave beach, Twin Coves Beach (snorkled with a turtle!), Ten Bay Beach. After a day of exploring beaches it was great to come back to the cottage and relax in the pool, which was warmed by the sun. Governor’s Harbor is a 5-8 minute drive, visit Da Perk for coffee, you can also get groceries, gas, souvenirs in town. We were super sad to leave this relaxing, quiet, and peaceful cottage, and can’t wait to go back someday.

We couldn't have been more happy with our stay at the Golden Chalice. The house was as advertised plus more. My wife and I stayed for our 10 year anniversary. We wanted a lazy and relaxing vacation. First off, you are literally on the beach. It was so nice to be able to brew my own coffee in the house (get a can of grounds from Da Perk) and then walk the beach in the mornings. The house had beach chairs and an umbrella as well as some snorkels and flippers. Having our own private pool was also a huge plus. The kitchen is well stocked to cook a few meals at home but there are also plenty of great restaurants within a few minutes (Tippy's, La Bougainvella, 1684 at French Leave Resort and Buccaneer Club). Overall, you are going to love staying here for a private and peaceful vacation.

Beautiful Beach Cottage

The location of this studio cottage was right on the beach and had a lovely infinity pool overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. The pool is not heated however it receives morning and afternoon sun so it is comfortable to swim in each afternoon. The cottage had all the comforts of home and stunning views in every direction. The pink sand beach was beautiful and provided the opportunity for long morning and afternoon walks. Highly recommend this location for rest, relaxation and peacefulness on the beach.

A perfect winter getaway

We enjoyed the six nights we stayed at the Golden Chalice. The location right on a gorgeous beach with barely any others around was extraordinarily. We enjoyed cooking in for breakfast and lunch, eating outside on the deck: the kitchen is equipped! Tippys was a cool spot for dinner a few nights. We slept so well every night! A romantic place to get away and explore. Thanks to Tom and Tarictia for making our stay so comfortable and providing such a lovely welcome.

We had a great time in Eleuthera. The Golden Chalice is a perfect place for two people. It is very clean and the kitchen is well equipped. The house looks just like the pictures. Beautiful beach! We walked every day, went into town and shopped, had lunch then explored. Afternoons were for laying around the pool, enjoying the beautiful water and cooking. Great time! I highly recommend the Golden Chalice. Don’t think you will find any place better.

Party Of Two? This Is Your Place!

Have been to many places throughout the Caribbean...this is now our favorite property. Beautiful beach to be on too...and by "on", I mean ON the beach! Great house that is very nice, well appointed, open view of the beach/ocean and all just 50 yards to Tippy's and 5 minutes to Governor's Harbour. King bed, nice open bathroom w/walk-in shower (body soap, shampoo & conditioner provided) quality towels, full kitchen (w/out oven, but who cares?!) A/C works great, ceiling fans, great pool, outdoor shower, open deck space, outdoor dining table/chairs, pool lounges, deck chairs...I'm telling you, it's perfect. The pictures and YouTube video of the property are accurate...the place looks just like them. (maybe even better) Owner is wonderful to work with too; timely communication, no problems whatsoever. I actually don't want to share this review of a perfect place, for fear it won't be available when I want to go next time!!! :)

Why they chose this property

We purchased the land where Bird of Paradise Cottages now stand in 2004 on a complete whim with aspirations to eventually build. It wasn't until 2016 when we finally broke ground on three cottages that now sit facing the Atlantic Ocean just south of the famous Tippys . Eleuthera is a special place to us that has always served as a getaway.

We have traveled all over the globe and believe the beaches of Eleuthera far surpass anything we have ever seen.
