Charming and tidy well appointed townhouse, spacious yet cozy, in a Pennsylvania town. Walking distance to restaurants, and a little riverside park.Comfortable bed, plenty of towels, and peace and quiet.

Liked: Check-in, communication
Non-refundable booking, even 14 months in advance and by accident! Accidentally booked Sept 2026 in July 2025. Host/manager would not assist, including rebooking for 2025. Lost two night weekend stay as a result of, admitted, my mistake. Never a good sign when people are unreasonable about simple things.

I tried to accommodate the guest for rescheduling but their attitude was intolerable.
Beautiful historic home full of antiques! You could spend hours just enjoying and exploring everything in the home! Very quiet and peaceful area right near the river! Large rooms, clean and beautifully decorated! Loved exploring the town! Communication with the owner was exceptional! Parking right infront of home and a lovely space to lounge in on the back porch! Highly recommend!

Thank you for your kind and thorough review! We appreciate you as a wonderful guest and hope you return!
What a sweet, cozy place to stay. We were visiting colleges nearby and it was a perfect place to stay the night. We watched the sunset over the river at the end of the block and walked to get coffee the next morning at a funky coffee shop. The house had everything we needed for the night.

Thank you for being wonderful guests and you are welcome back anytime!
The pictures show the living room as being very bright and cheerful, but on our arrival all curtains were pulled and the townhouse was rather dark. Even after opening curtains, it didn't seem very bright. At night when we had to close the curtains, my husband took the lamp shade off one of the living room lamps just to have more light. We were slightly disappointed with stay.
Communication with Katherine was nonexistent. She messaged me 4 days before our arrival with the lockbox code, but that was it. I replied the same day with a follow-up question - no response. I sent a message the day we arrived saying we could not stay there due to the conditions inside the house - no response. The only other message I received asked me to rate my stay. The house is located near the main street of the town, which was cool, but the side street it was on felt iffy. I was anxious to leave our car there. It's listed as "Historic Townhouse w/ Antiques & Riverview" but more accurate would be "old rowhouse with old furniture & a view of the river only from the front stoop." The living room looked as if a dog had been the last renter. The chair closest to the door looked like a recently used dog bed and the floor had not been vacuumed. The kitchen area was clean, but it was so tightly packed that it was hard to get around to the porch door. The photos of the porch were one of the things I had liked, but it was gross in person. The windows were dirty and it was not inviting at all.Upstairs felt like a furnace. A tiny window unit in the master bedroom was set on 64, but it had to have been 80 degrees in there. My husband and I just looked at each other and said "Nope." We left immediately and got a hotel room in another town.I would not recommend this Vrbo to anyone other than maybe a group of college students. And even then not during the summer. Disappointing.

Disliked: Cleanliness, location, listing accuracy
Earlier reviews emphasized cleanliness of the property. It was not clean. Let's start with the positives. The bed was clean. We checked in without incident. The negatives. The house was not remotely clean. We owned an old house and were expecting radiator heat, etc. However, there was dog hair everywhere downstairs despite the fact no dogs are allowed. There were dustbunnies on the floor with dog hair. The rug and couch in the living room were covered in dog hair. The furniture is dirty like it came from goodwill and (nasty) throws. The master bedroom had cobwebs and insects stuck to the ceiling. I cleaned the coffepot before I could use it. Every window is covered with cheap dark curtains- maybe so guests can't see the dirt? The kitchen cabinets and handles are gross. The shower curtain has mildew on the bottom. Not sure when it was ever washed. The internet is worthless. You can't watch tv, and thankfully, I didn't need to work while we were there. We booked 2 nights and left after the first night. Hugely disappointing. We would not recommend staying there. No instructions for use of wifi. There was mail inside, indicating that the owner didn't check the property to ensure it was clean before we checked in. We will never visit this area again since we were there for a celebration of life for a family member, but we would like to warn others from staying there. We paid for 2 nights and only spent 1 there. It was miserable, dark, and dirty.
